Bollywood queen, Aishwarya Rai was indeed the heartthrob of many actors in the industry. Thus, she was also allegedly involved in a number of relationships. However, her love and breakup story with Salman Khan was one of the most talked-about matters back in the day. And right after their breakup, if reports are to be believed, Aishwarya started dating Vivek Oberoi, which angered Salman to an extreme level. This also led to many other controversies and fights between the two actors. Following this, Aishwarya also parted ways with Vivek amicably after a brief dating period.
Fast forward to now, Aishwarya Rai is married to the love of her life, Abhishek Bachchan and together they are blessed with a daughter, Aradhya Bachchan. But before getting into a relationship with Aishwarya, he had once graced the sets of the controversial reality show, Koffee With Karan. There, the host of the show, Karan Johar, who is best known for pulling real emotions out of the celebs' mouths, was heard asking Abhishek and Preity Zinta, "Stuck with Salman and Vivek in an elevator, there is silence. What would you say to break the silence?" After reading out the question, he asked Abhishek to answer it first.

Soon, Abhishek was heard taking a 'nasty' dig at his present wife, Aishwarya Rai's then-love triangle with Salman Khan and Vivek Oberoi. He said, "I've got a really nasty one, and this I'm just trying to be witty. Vivek, please don't mind. Um, Vivek meet Salman, Salman eat Vivek." To this, although Karan quipped, "Alright," his guests, including Preity and Vivek, were left laughing loud.
Abhishek then apologised to Vivek in the show and mentioned, "I'm really sorry. That's just we're trying to be fun." But his co-guest on the show, Preity added, "No no. I've got a better one. Vivek meet Salman. Salman beat Vivek. Better than eat" and the three of them went ROFL. To this, Karan mentioned, "Alright we will just take a call on that later," and the show continued.

A video featuring this segment of Abhishek and Preity's stay on the set of the show was posted on social media, and soon it went viral. Netizens rushed to the comment section to react to it. While one netizen wrote, "He had a good sense of humour before aishwarya happened to him", another mentioned, "He had no idea that he"ll make a triangle in future." One more netizen penned, "Abhishek shud ask them that why they are fighting.,."

In 2003, Vivek Oberoi called for a press conference to open up about Salman Khan's open threats to him. In the press conference, Vivek mentioned that Salman had called him 41 times, accusing him of having physical relationships with many leading ladies of Tinseltown. Not only that, Vivek shared that Salman had even threatened to kill him. However, Vivek got no such support from the industry even after holding the press conference.
