It was on June 3, 1973, when Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bhaduri had embarked on their journey of ‘happily ever after’ together and there has been no looking back since then. In 2020, the couple had completed 47 years of married life and to mark the special day, Big B had posted two pictures from their wedding, revealing how he had obeyed his father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan’s wish by marrying his Zanjeer co-star. Mr Bachchan had tweeted, "47 years… today.. June 3, 1973!! Had decided if 'Zanjeer' succeeded we, with few friends would go to London, first time, to celebrate... Father asked who you going with? When I told him who he said, you will marry her then go... else you don't go... I obeyed!"
Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan's contribution to the Indian cinema is remarkable and no words or awards would be enough to honour their worth in the lives of their fans. A few years ago, Big B was lauded at the Life Ok Awards for his phenomenal contribution to cinema and he had attended the award function with his wife, Jaya Bachchan and son, Abhishek Bachchan. After receiving the award, when he came back to his seat, his wife, who was sitting next to Abhishek, leaned forward to congratulate him. Abhishek, who was seated in between his parents, had given a kabab mein haddi reaction when Big B gave a sweet peck to Mrs Bachchan. It will leave you chuckling too.

Abhishek Bachchan is one of the coolest celebrities on Twitter because of his witty replies and the way he deals with the trolls in his chivalrous best. In 2018, Abhishek was targeted for living with his parents, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, in a random discussion on Twitter. When a Twitterati had written, “Don't feel bad about your life. Just remember @juniorbachchan still lives with his parents. Keep hustling everyone!” Abhishek had replied, “Yes! And it’s the proudest moment for me to be able to be there for them, as they have for me. Try it sometime, you might feel better about yourself.” When Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had dropped by on David Letterman’s talk show, she had commented about living with parents and had said, “It’s fine to live with your parents because it’s also common in India, we don’t have to take appointments from the parents to meet for dinner.”
During the promotions of Breathe: Into The Shadows, in an interview with the Hindustan Times, Abhishek Bachchan was asked what it feels like being a son of famous parents, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan. He had retorted, “I’ve never thought about it. I’m the son of my father. At home, he’s that, he has never wanted it to be anything else, my mother never allowed it to be anything else. I’m the son of my father, I’m a colleague of a legend. That’s the way I look at it. He never brings his work home, never imposes, what I believe as a fan rightly should be, the fact he’s a living legend of cinema. At home, he’s my friend, somebody I can sit with, watch sports or movies, discuss politics and current affairs. I think it’s very important to understand that dynamic, which I understand is very difficult to comprehend when you’re not living that and viewing it as a third person. I’ve never looked upon it adversely. My love and respect for my parents are far too big for me to ever think to disrespect that emotion by thinking about it adversely.”
