Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai have been leading the headlines as there have been rumours about their alleged separation. A tiff in the Bachchan clan was evident during Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding as Aishwarya and Aaradhya came to the event separately while Abhishek came with his parents.
Since then, the murmurs about Abhishek and Aishwarya have gained momentum. Amid the rumours, a throwback interview of Abhishek has been doing rounds on social media, in which he revealed how his wife, Aishwarya, has allowed him to work. In an interview with RJ Siddharth Kannan, Abhishek revealed it was Aishwarya who took responsibility for Aaradhya. In his words:

“A lot of what I am as an actor post-marriage is due to Aishwarya. One is the practical, logistic side of it. To know that my wife is with Aaradhya is a huge, emotional weight that, if lifted, from many parents' minds. She has allowed me, and I say allowed cause that's what it is -- she's given me permission and allowed (and said), 'You go act, I'll take care of Aaradhya.'"

In the same interview, Abhishek stated how Aishwarya stepped in and lifted the emotional baggage. Talking about the liberty he got, Abhishek shared:
“So you go out, you get the liberty to perform freely and it's a fact. The countless amount of mothers that do this with their husbands, and you have to be thankful. They have every right to say, 'Come, show in the responsibility 50-50.' So from that perspective.”
Aishwarya Rai was last seen in Mani Ratnam’s film, Ponniyin Selvan 2. The film received a lot of love from the audience as well as critics, and Aishwarya aced the role of Nandini. Heaping praises on his Mrs., Abhishek tweeted:

As soon as Abhishek Bachchan’s tweet resurfaced, people started reacting to it. However, one social media user suggested Abhishek to let Aishwarya take on more projects and also asked him to take care of his daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan. Reacting to the user, Abhishek gave a befitting reply and wrote:
“Let her sign??? Sir, she certainly doesn’t need my permission to do anything. Especially something she loves.”
Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai’s love blossomed on the sets of Umrao Jaan. But way before that Abhishek was smitten by Aishwarya’s beauty when he met her for the first time in Switzerland, where he went for the recce of a film. Aishwarya was shooting there with Bobby Deol for her Bollywood debut film, Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya.
After spending time together during the shooting of Umrao Jaan, Guru, and Dhoom 2, the duo started developing feelings for each other. During Guru's premiere, the handsome Abhishek proposed to Aishwarya, and she said yes. On April 20, 2007, the doting couple got married and began their forever journey.
