From delivering long monologues, and mesmerising the audience with his cult dialogues to portraying a charismatic hero, there is nothing that the Shahenshah of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan can’t do. The living legend is an inspiration to the millions out there who dream each day of making it big in the industry.
Amitabh Bachchan had started his career as a voice narrator in Mrinal Sen’s National Award film, Bhuvan Shome. In 1969, he made his acting debut in the film, Saath Hindustani. After an initial hiatus in his career, Amitabh rose to fame with the blockbuster film, Zanjeer in 1973, earning him the tag of the ‘Angry Young Man’. With more than 200 films in a career spanning above decades, Amitabh Bachchan is truly the greatest actor of the century.

On October 11, 2022, Amitabh Bachchan turned 80 and to mark the special occasion, his son, Abhishek Bachchan visited Tirumala Tirupati along with businessman, Anil Ambani, his wife, Tina Ambani and his sister, Nina Kothari. Dressed in a white kurta and pyjama, Abhishek took the blessing of Lord Balaji for his paa, Amitabh Bachchan. The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams officials honoured Abhishek, Anil, Tina, and Nina with silk cloth and presented them with 'tirth prasad'.
Abhishek Bachchan considers Amitabh Bachchan as his inspiration and has always said that he is his father’s biggest fan. On Karan Johar’s chat show, Koffee With Karan season 6, Abhishek had revealed it was extremely difficult for him when his father reviewed his performances and gave his views on the same. He had stated:
"It's very difficult. I have never said this, but it is. Because apart from being a co-star, a son, I'm also his biggest fan. And I genuinely say that. From the bottom of my heart, I believe that he is the greatest actor on earth."

Amitabh Bachchan has always been his son’s pillar of strength and his biggest cheerleader. When Abhishek’s film, Dasvi's trailer was released, Amitabh lauded Abhishek's performance in it and also declared him his heir. Quoting his father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan's poem, Amitabh had penned:
"Mere bete, bete hone se tum mere uttradhikari nahi hoge. Jo mere uttradhikari honge, wo mere bete honge. --Harivansh Rai Bachchan. Abhishek, tum mere uttradhikari hoge, bus keh diya to keh diya."’
