On February 15, 1969, the shahenshah of Bollywood, Mr Amitabh Bachchan had started his journey in the Indian film industry. Right from signing his debut movie, Saat Hindustani and termed as a “failed newcomer” to giving a long list (like a literally long one!) of super hits eventually, Amitabh ji has given years of his service and entertained us like crazy. Zanjeer, Abhimaan, Muqaddar Ka Sikandar, Namak Halaal, Deewar, Sholay, Amar Akbar Anthony and on and on and on, the list of Big B’s superhit movies is a long one.
And today, on February 15, 2019, Amitabh Bachchan completes 50 glorious years in the industry. On this celebratory day, his actor-son, Abhishek Bachchan took to his official Instagram handle and shared a heartfelt note for his father, wishing Big B and explaining how proud he is of him. Wearing a t-shirt with his sketch along with ICON written on it, Abhishek wrote, “ICON! To me, he's so much more. My father, best friend, guide, best critic, greatest support, idol. HERO! 50 years today he started his journey in films. Even today, his passion and love for his craft and work is the same as I'm sure it was on the first day”.
And further went on to write, “Dearest Pa, today we celebrate you, your talent, your passion, your brilliance and your immense influence. Can't wait to see what you have in store for the next 50 years. The coolest thing he taught me today. As I went, in the morning to wish him for completing 50 years of being an actor and to tell him that I was leaving for work- I asked him where he was all ready to go to? He said. To work! #50yrsofBigB #amitabhbachchan #BigB”. Here’s the snap Junior B shared:
Recently, Abhishek Bachchan appeared on Karan Johar’s chat show, Koffee With Karan and had shared that it was difficult for him when Amitabh ji reviewed his performances on-screen. Abhishek quipped, "It's very difficult. I have never said this, but it is. Because apart from being a co-star, a son, I'm also his biggest fan. And I genuinely say that. From the bottom of my heart, I believe that he is the greatest actor on earth”. (Also Read: Priyanka Chopra Jonas And Nick Jonas Are Expecting Their First Child? Her Baby Bump Is Quite Evident)

Further, he shared that even if he craves for praise from his father, but he doesn’t know how to handle it. Here’s what he shared, "You want that validation. You want to hear 'well done'. The problem is, when he does say it on the rare occasion that I have managed to impress him, I don't know how to handle it”. The 42-year-old actor further stated, "It is difficult. Today, being a father myself, I start understanding why maybe earlier in my career, he has discussed certain things with me. Or he has critiqued my work in a particular way. You tend to forget that he's not just an actor, he is also a father”.
For the uninitiated ones, Abhishek was recently trolled for living with his parents in their house. A Twitter user tagged Junior B as he tweeted, “Don’t feel bad about your life. Just remember @juniorbachchan still lives with his parents. Keep hustling everyone!” Soon Abhishek gave a kickass reply and wrote, “Yes! And it’s the proudest moment for me to be able to be there for them, as they have for me. Try it sometime, you might feel better about yourself.” (Checkout: Ayushmann Khurrana And Tahira Kashyap Attend The Mehendi Celebration Of Neeti Mohan, Pictures Inside)
