BMC has booked Bollywood actress, Gauahar Khan for violating COVID-19 rules. After she had tested positive with the virus, the actress had gone out for a film's shoot. My father has passed, to the ever after as an Angel. Alhamdulillah. His passing away was a testament to his beautiful life n the best soul he was. Forever My Pappa. I love you oh so much. I am so much of you Pappa. And yet can never ever be even a percent of your magnanimous personality. Keep him in your prayers please."
On March 15, 2021, Tandav actress, Gauahar Khan's team issued an official statement in response to Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's (BMC) FIR against the actress for violating COVID-19 norms and regulations by stepping-out for a film's shoot, despite being tested positive for coronavirus. The team issued a formal clarification and stated that Gauahar had tested negative in multiple COVID-19 tests, and they're cooperating with BMC to resolve the misunderstanding. The statement quoted in an Indian Express report stated, "For everyone sending their best wishes and concern for Gauahar Khan, here's the latest report. She's tested negative in multiple reports. She's a law-abiding citizen and complying with all the norms of BMC. This is to appeal for all the speculation to be put to an end. Gauahar Khan is cooperating with everything that BMC requires."
Going further in their statement, Gauahar Khan's team also suggested that this is an extremely tough time for the actress, as she had lost her father, late Zafar Ahmed Khan 10 days ago and is still in a state of shock. Thus, the actress' team requested everyone not to spread the false news on social media and give her some peaceful time to heal from the biggest loss of her life. The team stated, "Requesting media houses not to indulge in speculation and respect Gauahar's emotionally lowest low time as she just lost her father 10 days ago and she's going through everything that is expected from her by the BMC. So with folded hands, we want Gauahar's time to herself, respectfully and let her heart heal in this mourning time."
