The wedding season just doesn’t seem to end for the B-town and telly world, and no, we aren’t complaining. After all, we get to drool over some breathtaking pictures and cheerful videos of our favourite celebrities enjoying to the fullest, making it a ‘wedding-to-remember’ for their soon-to-be-married friends. We are referring to Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil fame, Additi Gupta, and a few months ago, she announced her secret-cum-intimate engagement ceremony on social media. On September 02, 2018, Additi gave a sweet surprise to her fans when she got engaged to her pilot boyfriend, Kabir Chopra. Additi shared a romantic picture from her roka ceremony, and she captioned it with a heart emoji. And in her Insta story, she shared a snap holding hands of her fiancé and wrote, "I said no... Just kidding. *He is mine*".
Additi’s pre-wedding ceremonies began on December 10, 2018, with her mehendi-cum-bachelorette bash with her ‘Team Bride’ - Drashti Dhami, Anita Hassanandani, Pooja Gor, Kritika Kamra, Ritti Chopra, Aditi Mehta and Jeena Gupta. While Additi was dressed in a white t-shirt which could be read as, “I’m getting married”, her ‘Team Bride’ was wearing black t-shirts which could be read as, ‘So, we’re getting drunk’. After the mehendi-cum-bachelorette-cum-bridal shower night, the bride-to-be, Additi along with her to-be husband, Kabir threw a cocktail party on December 11, 2018, for friends wherein they enjoyed their last moments as bachelor and spinster. Additi Gupta, Kabir Chopra, Drashti Dhami, Arjun Bijlani, Krystle D'souza, Pooja Gor, Raj Singh Arora, Kritika Kamra, Anita Hassanandani, Rohit Reddy, Karan Patel, Ankita Bhargava, Ekta Kapoor amongst others enjoyed the cocktail night to the fullest, dancing like there’s no tomorrow. Additi and Kabir had their tilak ceremony on December 11, 2018 morning, and they looked like a ‘made-for-each-other’ couple at the function. While Additi was beautifully dressed in a powder-blue coloured suit, her dapper groom opted for kurta-pyjama and teamed it up with a jacket. Here’s one of the pictures from their tilak ceremony:
Additi Gupta, who plays the character of Archana in Kaal Bhairav Rahasya 2, is juggling between her real-life and reel-life weddings. As per a Bollywood Life report earlier, Additi had stated, "Shooting day and night is quite challenging with heavy wedding costumes on. I'm struggling to even find time for my real wedding. Talking about her roka in an interview with Times Of India, Additi Gupta shared, "It’s too personal and too new to talk about... if you know what I mean. All I can say is that yes, the news is true and I have been ROKAOED." The actress even went on to reveal that she never wanted an industry man. Here’s what Additi had said, "I am glad for the fact that he is not from this industry. I never wanted an industry boy."
In a throwback interview with The Times Of India, Additi opened up about being single and was quoted as saying, "I don't feel I should plan about my marriage so early. But yes my parents wish to see me settled. My relatives, people around and neighbours keep asking my parents about my marriage plans. Such questions are sometimes funny, irritating and also make you blush (laughs). I'm happy being single after the breakup. As of now I'm not dating anyone but enjoying being single."
