Bollywood actress, Yami Gautam celebrated her 35th birthday on November 28, 2024. Her husband, filmmaker Aditya Dhar, made the special day more memorable for the new mommy, with a heartwarming post on social media. Aditya’s adorable birthday post also included the first-ever glimpse of their adorable little munchkin, Vevadid aka Vedu.
On the occasion of Yami’s first birthday as a new mom, Aditya took three stunning photos of the actress to his Instagram handle. In the first photo, Yami is seen glowing in a sun-kissed shot, dressed elegantly in a black dress. The second captures her playful side against the serene nature in the backdrop. The third, and the sweetest picture features a snap of Yami holding baby, Vedavid on her lap, with a radiant smile on her face. Sharing these sweet moments of his wife, Aditya wrote an adorable caption that read:

Addressing Yami as ‘Vedu ki Mummy’, Aditya won over our hearts as he captured his better half in her moments of pure happiness. Responding to his mushy birthday wish, Yami left a sweet comment that read:

Yami and Aditya tied the knot in 2021, and welcomed their first baby boy, Vedavid, in May 2024. After attaining motherhood, Yami appeared for the first time at the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) to attend the screening of her latest work, Article 370. Talking about her life as a new mother and balancing her profession, Yami shared:
“In fact, I'm busier than before, and I'm willing to balance both my personal and professional life. This is a significant change, but change doesn't come overnight. It requires sacrifices, consistent hard work, and the support of many people. We must celebrate it, and I'm happy to be a part of the cinema at this time.”
Yami also opened up about her journey into motherhood in a recent interview with Hindustan Times, revealing that she still sometimes finds it hard to believe that she’s a mother. She admitted that the reality of being a mom often overwhelms her, especially when she refers to Vedavid as ‘my son’.

Yami and Aditya’s love story blossomed on the sets of Uri: The Surgical Strike in 2019, but they chose to keep the relationship private. On June 4, 2021, the duo tied the knot in a traditional ceremony in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. The couple welcomed their first son, Vevadid earlier this year, on the auspicious occasion of Akshay Tritiya. They shared the news of their parenthood on social media with a beautiful picture of Lord Krishna cradling a baby boy. On her work front, Yami has taken a brief break after welcoming her little bundle of joy, embracing this new phase of her life.
