Shiv Thakare and Abdu Rozik’s friendship became the highlight of the reality show, Bigg Boss 16. The duo, who came from extremely different cultural and ethnic backgrounds were seen shedding sheer BFF goals, and entertained everyone with their endless banter and hearty moments. And now, as Abdu Rozik recently got engaged to his ladylove, Amira, Shiv Thakare is all excited about the former’s forthcoming wedding in July.
It was a few days back when Abdu Rozik surprised everyone with his engagement announcement. The short-heighted artist from Tajikistan revealed that he would be getting married to his ladylove, Amira, a resident of Sharjah in July. However, while Abdu’s fans and friends were elated about the news, it was his BFF, Shiv Thakare who seemed confused by the suddenness of the announcement, and even claimed that it was perhaps a prank. And now, in a recent interaction with ETimes, he rolled back his words and said:
“I initially felt it was a prank and told a media publication also. After seeing the news everywhere, Abdu called and informed me that the news is actually true and that he is getting married.”

Moving forth in the conversation, Shiv Thakare then expressed his feelings about his best buddy, Abdu Rozik stepping onto the next chapter of his life. Calling the latter his younger brother, Shiv claimed he felt overjoyed with happiness. He revealed how Abdu was always excited to get married and even discussed about the same a couple of times in the past. Promising that he will dance like crazy at Abdu’s wedding, Shiv remarked:
“I am very happy for him. He is my younger brother and I am on top of the moon as he’s getting married. Woh shaadi ke liye kitna excited raha hai humesha se I know, and he had discussed with me in the past. I am very happy that he is starting his new life. I am going to attend his wedding festivities and dance like crazy. Full dhamaal karunga.. We spoke about the engagement also and I am very happy about Abdu’s wedding.”
Previously, in an interview with News18 Showsha, Shiv Thakare was asked for his reaction on Abdu Rozik’s engagement announcement. To this, the former appeared surprised, and remarked how he was clueless about it all. Furthermore, Shiv hinted that the entire news might just be a prank, since he spoke to Abdu some minutes back and the latter didn’t for once mention it to him back then. In his words:
“I have no idea about it. I don’t know who the girl is. Got to know it via social media only. Rather, I spoke to Abdu just 30 minutes back and he didn’t mention anything about the wedding. Don’t know if these reports are false.”

Back on May 10, 2024, Abdu Rozik dropped the first glimpse of his precious engagement moment, as he slipped the unique heart-shaped diamond ring on his ladylove, Amira’s fingers. The 20-year-old social media star was seen showing the beautiful ring to his wife-to-be first, and then making her wear it. For the special day, while Abdu donned a typical Emirati outfit, on the other hand, his fiancee, Amira, looked pretty in a white dress.
