Agastya Nanda followed into the illustrious footsteps of his grandparents, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan and ventured in Hindi cinema. The young lad made his debut with Zoya Akhtar’s teen drama, The Archies, which was released in December 2023. While the actor received mixed responses from the audiences on his performance, he has nevertheless been garnering a lot of limelight for his personality and has even bagged his next big film with Sriram Raghavan.
In an interview with The Film Companion, Agastya Nanda reflected on his family and revealed how it is his mother, Shweta Bachchan who is the only grounding force behind him. While many believe that the actor might find his source of humility through his grandfather, Amitabh Bachchan, it is, on the contrary, his mother who has a great influence on his work. In his words:

“My mom is the biggest grounding factor, not even my granddad. It’s my mother. In every way. She will take my case. I am very under-grounded. I told my mom that these trolls have got nothing on you.”

Continuing further in the interaction, Agastya then revealed that his mother doesn’t really treat him with the airs of an actor and instead gives him a reality check often. He elaborated his mother telling him that he isn’t that great yet and there’s much more to achieve on his part. In his words:
“She’s like, ‘don’t think you are something great. You are not doing anyone a service. You work, work hard and that’s it’. That’s how I grew up around her, just listening that you have to earn your own place.”
In the concluding segment of the interview, Agastya Nanda reflected on his grandfather and talented actor, Amitabh Bachchan. The young lad remarked how he has never looked up to the latter as a superstar, as for him he is only nana. He further mentioned:
“So of course she keeps me grounded and ofcourse my granddad. He has achieved so much, but weirdly, I don’t see him as Amitabh Bachchan the superstar. I genuinely see him as my nana. No matter how many fans come and mob him, I always see him as my nana. It’s just a weird thing.”
