Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is one of the most talented actresses in Bollywood. The diva made her acting debut with the Tamil film, Iruvar. Aishwarya's first Hindi film was Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya. Throughout her career, the diva gifted cine-lovers with some memorable films such as Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Dhoom 2, Devdas, Chokher Bali, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, and Jodhaa Akbar, among so many others. For her contribution to the entertainment industry, the former Miss World was even awarded the prestigious Padma Shri in the year 2009.
Talking about Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's personal life, the diva got married to the love of her life, Abhishek Bachchan in 2007. It was in 2011 that the duo hopped onto the parenthood journey with the arrival of their baby girl, Aaradhya Bachchan. There's no second thought about the fact that Aishwarya is the much-adored bahu of the Bachchan clan. However, in the last few months, reports about Aishwarya's dispute rumours with her sasural have been doing rounds in the media. Amid all these going on, let us take you back to a time when Aishwarya revealed how her in-laws reacted after she bagged the Pama Shri award.

Earlier, in an interview with the Verve magazine, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan shared that the 'most precious thing' that happened to her in 2009 was her late father, Krishnaraj Rai's recovery from Cancer. However, talking about her joy over receiving Padma Shri, Aishwarya mentioned that the feeling was 'wonderful'. She also added that she has been receiving comments that she is the first youngest person to bag such a prestigious award.
She also dedicated the award to her parents and revealed how her in-laws reacted to such a win. Aishwarya said that her in-laws told her that they welcomed the 5th Padma Shri into their family. For those who don't know, Amitabh Bachchan's father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, who was a Hindi poet, bagged the Padma Shri award in 1976, while Amitabh received three such prestigious awards. Jaya Bachchan received Padma Shri in the year 1992, and then Aishwarya was the next one to bring Padma Shri to the Bachchan clan. However, Aishwarya could be quoted as saying:
"Professionally what was wonderful was being bestowed with the Padma Shri. People from the fraternity said you are the youngest from the industry to have received it thus far. I owe it to my parents and I devote it to them. It was very special when my in-laws said we welcome the fifth Padma Shri into the family.”

In the same interview, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan heaped praises on her husband, Abhishek Bachchan, for always backing her. The diva shared that she is blessed with the best husband in the world, who doesn't shy away from applauding his wife and standing beside her even on the public platform. Aishwarya stated:
"I am blessed with the best husband in the world because it reflects on his strength that he can stand by his woman on a public platform at every given opportunity and applaud her.”
It's been a long since the dispute rumours between Aishwarya and the Bachchan parivar have been going on. It all began after the Bachchan clan, including Abhishek Bachchan, gave Aishwarya's 50th birthday celebration a miss. Abhishek's dry birthday wish for his wife also raised many eyebrows.

After that, Jaya Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan flew off to Paris and turned cheerleader for the latter's daughter, Navya Naveli Nand, while they weren't there for Aishwarya. Soon after that, netizens spotted that Abhishek wasn't wearing his wedding ring. Although the whole Bachchan clan was spotted at the premiere night of The Archies, netizens found out that there was something off in the way they were posing.
