Bollywood actress, Aishwarya Rai was once madly in love with Salman Khan, and the duo reportedly dated for a few years after their 1999 film, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. Aishwarya and Salman had an ugly breakup, and the former even accused her ex-boyfriend of physical violence. After parting ways with Salman, Aishwarya ensured to keep distance from him. Finally, she tied the knot with Abhishek Bachchan in 2007.
Now, we stumbled upon an old video of Aishwarya Rai making rounds on the internet, which showed that she was not keen on disclosing her equation with Salman Khan after their breakup. The video dates back to 2012, when Aishwarya sat for an interview with Simi Garewal on her celebrity chat show, Rendezvous with Simi Garewal. During the same, Aishwarya was asked about her ugly breakup with Salman Khan, but she denied talking on the matter.

During the conversation, Simi Garewal asked Aishwarya Rai to reflect back on her breakup with Salman Khan objectively, but the actress denied commenting about her ex-boyfriend. She shared that she wouldn't want to talk about the matter on a public platform as whatever happened was in the past. Aishwarya replied:
“I think I have quite shut it out. I think I wouldn’t want to get into looking at it any which way and especially on a public platform. I really wouldn't want to.”
However, Simi further tried to get Aishwarya talking and asked, “Do you feel negatively about it?' But the actress was adamant about her decision and made it clear that she was not keen on talking about her past relationships. Aishwarya said:
“I’ve exorcised my demons; it’s a thing of the past; it needs to be left right there.”

Simi again asked Aishwarya whether she still cared about her past with Salman Khan so much that she could not even talk about it. She also probed Aishwarya if talking about her former relationship hurt her, and the latter said that she chooses to avoid speaking about certain aspects of her life publicly. Aishwarya added:
“I am not a soloist… With me comes my family, my loved ones, people I love and care about very dearly. So there is an obvious wall. Yes there is; and there is no denial of it."
