The Bachchan clan protected their angel, Aaradhya Bachchan, from the media limelight and paparazzi culture for the longest time. Being a doting mother, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan kept her daughter guarded from the flashlights. However, being a celeb kid, Aaradhya is now hounded by the cameras wherever she goes. But it looks like Aaradhya has become quite accustomed to the paparazzi culture as she gracefully poses for them.
Once in an interview with Pinkvilla, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan opened up about the paparazzi culture in Tinseltown and shed light on how it will be there till her last breath. Emphasising that media scrutiny has become an indispensable part of celebrities' lives, the actress mentioned that the paps should maintain a certain level of sanity around children. She said:

"I am in a normal world, walking out and going to my car when full Tamasha is going on around you. There’s no getting away from this; it is who we are. And we’ll be like this, I like saying, till my last breath. Having said that, however much we would like to discuss it, it’s not going away. This is the way of our chosen life, this is part of our industry. With paparazzi, we can engage on a human level in requesting, some semblance of sanity around children."

Speaking along the same lines, Aishwarya shared that she had a word with her daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan about the paparazzi culture and tried to make it normal for her. The actress added that the situation was not the same when she was young so this culture is not normal for her. However, as Aaradhya was born during the time when paparazzi culture boomed, she is trying to normalise it. Aishwarya added:
"And I have always spoken to my daughter. Throughout, from small, I try and weirdly, I guess, to keep it real and normal for her. But I’m always hoping and thinking for us it’s probably weird because we have lived in a world when it wasn’t there. She’s born into a world where it has only been there. So, there I try and make it normal for her within that, and it’s tough explaining it because to us it’s just not normal, but I’m still trying to."
Aishwarya also mentioned how she has been helping her baby girl deal with the paparazzi by adding a bit of humour every time they get spotted. She mentioned that on some days, Aaradhya also gets fed up with the paparazzi, but the former tells her that she needs to ignore them and continue whatever she is doing. Sharing the details, Aishwarya said:
"And I see it. fortunately, I’m able to so far keep a twinkle in her eye, and I make it funny. I kind of do some kind of humour within there. And yeah, there are days when she’ll be like, ‘Oh god, why?' And I’m like, 'Yeah, they’re there. What do you do?' Yeah it’s there, you just kind of brush it aside because it’s there it’s going on. And then I’m like, 'But we are talking na! We’ll talk what we are talking, how does it matter what’s going on outside the car, or within the car, or outside an airport or whatever. We’re still chatting'."

Abhishek Bachchan credited his wife, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, for training Aaradhya nicely to deal with the paparazzi's attention. In an interview with RJ Siddharth Kannan, the actor spoke about how his then-9-year-old daughter, Aaradhya, reacted to the paparazzi culture and credited Aishwarya for the same. Abhishek said:
"She's still very young; she's just turned nine years old. These days, she's busy with online school. This department is Aishwarya's. I've realised I'm not very good at that. She made Aaradhya very aware of the family that she came from, from when she was a newborn baby. She knows that her dada and dadi, and her mom and dad are both actors, and that we're very privileged and that we enjoy the love and respect of so many millions. She sees our films and she enjoys them. She takes the [paparazzi] in her stride. Her mother has trained her nicely."
