Rajinikanth's daughter, Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth was married to Dhanush for almost two decades, but they announced their separation in January 2022. Aishwaryaa and Dhanush did not share the reason behind their divorce and refrained from talking about each other. However, over two years after their split, singer, Suchithra made some shocking allegations about the ex-couple.
In an interview with the YouTube channel, Kumudam, Suchithra talked about Dhanush and Aishwaryaa’s marriage and separation. She claimed that the ex-couple had cheated on each other during their marriage, but now Aishwaryaa is accusing Dhanush of doing that. Talking about the same, Suchithra said:
“Aishwaryaa is accusing Dhanush of cheating on her but that is what she has also done throughout the marriage. That is double standards, no? Aishwaryaa has cheated on Dhanush, Dhanush has cheated on Aishwaryaa. They’ve been a couple who have been systematically cheating on each other."

When the host asked her the basis of these serious allegations, Suchithra said that the ex-couple had small flings and they would go on dates with other people while being married to each other. The host further argued that going on dates is a normal thing, Suchithra asked the former if he would have done the same while being married to his wife. She was heard saying:
“They have had small flings. They have sat at the bar and had drinks with the person they are dating. When you’re in a marriage, will you go on a date?”
There is no denying that Suchithra has not been on good terms with Dhanush for years now. However, in the same interview, she hailed the actor for fulfilling his father’s duties, and even called Aishwaryaa a bad mother. But Suchithra also suggested that Aishwaryaa and Dhanush's kids, Yatra and Linga, should stay with their grandfather, Rajinikanth. In her words:
“I hope the children stay with their grandfather.”

Meanwhile, according to a report in the Hindustan Times, it was revealed that Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth and Dhanush have officially filed for a divorce in Chennai. The duo, who separated two years back, has been living apart and focusing on healing. A source close to Aishwarya and Dhanush has shared that the ex-couple felt the need to move on in their lives, and they filed for divorce mutually. They both have accepted that they can’t be together and they respect each other. Thus, their divorce is going to be an amicable process.
Well, Dhanush and Aishwaryaa are yet to address these shocking claims made by Suchithra.
