Akhil Mishra was one of the highly underrated actors in Indian cinema. Born on July 22, 1965, he was a part of Indian cinema and television for almost three decades. With his work in so many memorable films, he never got the recognition and fame he deserved for such a consistent actor. However, things changed when he appeared in Rajkumar Hirani’s film, 3 Idiots.
In the blockbuster film, Akhil Mishra portrayed the character of a librarian named 'Dubey'. His comical character not only left audiences in splits but also made a place in everyone’s core memory. His expressions throughout while listening to ‘Chatur Ramalingam’s (Omi Vaidya) speech and the eventual fall on stage never fail to make everyone’s jaws pain.

With all the work Akhil Mishra had done in all these decades, his presence will surely be missed as he passed away on September 21, 2023. For the unversed, Akhil was unwell for months before his death as he was reportedly facing blood pressure issues. If the reports are to be believed, he was standing on a stool in his kitchen when he fell down from it and suffered life-threatening injuries on his head. Despite being taken to the hospital, Akhil lost his life.
The heartbreaking incident shocked the entire industry, and the way he passed away once again reminded everyone how unpredictable life is. According to reports, when Akhil Mishra passed away in hospital, his wife, Suzanne Bernert was in Hyderabad for the shooting of a project.

The news of her husband’s death broke her into pieces, and she rushed back to Mumbai as soon as she heard about Akhil’s unfortunate demise. The actor was just 58 and was enjoying life with his wife.

Not everyone is aware of the fact that renowned actor, Akhil Mishra married twice in his life. The first marriage was with a lady named Manju. The couple reportedly got married in 1983. As per reports the couple reportedly welcomed two kids, one daughter and one son. But their names aren’t known to anyone.
After some years of their happy married life, it was in 1997 when Akhil Mishra’s wife, Manju passed away. The reason behind her death isn’t known to this very day. It was a huge downfall for Akhil, and he kept on working in order to save himself from drowning in the pain of his wife’s unfortunate death.

After the demise of his first wife, Akhil Mishra fell in love all over again, but this time it was a foreigner. The actor fell in love with famous German actress, Suzanne Bernert, who has been working in Indian films and television shows since 2004.
The couple got married on February 3, 2009. It was a court marriage, but on September 30, 2011, Akhil and Suzanne decided to get married for the second time in a traditional Indian wedding.
Akhil Mishara and Suzanne Bernert were among the few celebrity lovebirds who never missed a chance to give their fans a glimpse of their marital life through social media. Time and again, we have seen Suzanne and Akhil sharing mushy pictures with each other.
From their family get-togethers to their outings, they never missed a chance to shower immense love on one another. There’s no denying that after Akhil’s unfortunate demise, it will be extremely tough for Suzanne to live the rest of her life.
