Akshay Kumar is one of the most energetic actors of his time. He has worked in a number of films and is still working nonstop, even at the age of 56. Currently, he is basking in the success of his film, Sarfira, a remake of the Tamil movie, Soorarai Pottru featuring Suriya in the lead role. Here, in the Hindi-language drama film directed by Sudha Kongara, Akshay co-stars Radhika Madan in the prominent on-screen roles.
Now, during a conversation with Ghazal Alagh on YouTube, for his show, Sarfiri Baatein, as part of the promotions of Sarfira, Akshay Kumar threw light on his career. In a surprising segment, the actor mentioned how he was financially cheated on by some of his producers who have not given him his fees. The actor said he stops talking to those people then after such a thing happens. He said:
"Ek do producers ki payment nahin aati hain and it's cheating only. Uske baad main usse baat hi nahin karta, Chup ho jaata hoon apna side mein nikal jaata hoon."

For the unversed, Akshay is extremely popular for working on 3-4 films a year, a rare activity for any other actor. Contrary to this, the actor shared that when he does only one film in 1-2 years, and it doesn't do well at the box office, it becomes incredibly heartbreaking for him. Earlier, in an interview with Forbes India, Akshay talked about the failure of his past few films, including Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, and how it affected him. He shared:
"Behind every film, there is a lot of blood, sweat and passion that goes in. It is heartbreaking to see any film fail. But you have to learn to see the silver lining. Every failure teaches you the value of success and increases the hunger for it even further."
On June 28, 2024, Federation of Western India Cine Employees' President, BN Tiwari claimed that Vashu Bhagnani and his production house, Pooja Entertainment owes a hefty amount to crew members who worked on the films, including Ganapath, Mission Raniganj, and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. FWICE also mentioned that Pooja Entertainment owes huge sum of money to Mission Raniganj's director, Tinu Desai, and lead cast, Akshay Kumar apart from the workers, who worked on those three films. Following this, Akshay asked the Bhagnanis to put his payment on hold until all the other cast and crew members were compensated.

Thus, extremely delighted with Akshay's humble nature, Jackky Bhagnani released a statement about the same. He expressed his gratitude towards Akshay and mentioned that the film business is based completely on strong relationships. Further adding how Akshay's decision to be with them amazed everyone, Jackky stated:
"Akshay sir met me recently to discuss this matter. Upon learning about this situation, Akshay sir didn't hesitate to step forward and show his support for the crew. He has insisted that his payments be placed on hold until every single cast and crew member working on our projects receive their full and final payment. We are incredibly grateful for Akshay sir’s understanding and his willingness to stand with us during this time. The movie business hinges on strong relationships and that is the spirit we strive to foster at Pooja Entertainment."
