Bollywood superstar, Shah Rukh Khan and his loving wife, Gauri Khan live in their luxurious house, Mannat along with their kids, Aryan, Suhana and AbRam. While getting a sneak peek inside SRK and Gauri's mansion is delightful for most of us, some also get a golden chance to get inside it. Undoubtedly, getting mesmerised by the grandeur and hospitality in the house is a common thing. One such experience is recently shared by Bollywood actor, Ali Fazal.
In a recent interview with Mashable, Ali Fazal recalled his struggling days and revealed how every time the actor used to go to the Bandstand, he felt the urge to get inside the iconic bungalow, Mannat atleast once in his lifetime. However, as a few people get a chance to get inside the mansion, it was only recently that Ali could grab the golden opportunity. He shared:
“When I used to go to Bandstand, I would feel bad because Shah Rukh Khan lives there and we used to feel that now we have come till here, let’s go inside and see.”

Further, Ali revealed his experience when he visited Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan's house, Mannat. It was when Gauri invited Ali for a screening of a film that Ali got inside their house. And the Fukrey actor mentioned being completely shocked upon getting acquainted with the grandeur and humbleness inside the mansion. He also praised SRK for making him feel humble. Calling it the Gulliver's Travels, Ali added:
“But I visited Mannat when Gauri (Khan) ma’am invited me to a couple of screenings. I remember the first time I visited Mannat I was in shock. The house is big but the things in that house are also big. Humbleness ki dukaan hai woh. It’s like Gulliver’s Travels, you feel very small in that house. But Shah Rukh is one of the best hosts.”
A while back, Shah Rukh Khan attended the launch event for Gauri Khan’s new coffee table book, My Life in Design. During the course of the event, he reminisced about their old days and discussed their journey of acquiring Mannat. The actor shared how they ran out of money when they eventually managed to buy the property. Thus, left with no options, the actor asked his wife to start designing their house. And this is how Mannat became Gauri’s first project as a designer. SRK had said:
“We didn’t have too much money, and as soon as we mustered up some money, we said we want to buy this bungalow. And it was way beyond our means. We managed to buy it, which was one thing, and then we had to rebuild it, because it was quite dilapidated. And then we didn’t have money to furnish it. Of course, we called a designer. The lunch that he served us telling us how he’ll design the house was way more than the salary I used to earn in a month.”

Earlier, in an Unfiltered by Samdish episode, Riteish Deshmukh, a close friend of SRK and Gauri, was asked to reveal some unknown facts about Mannat. To this, Riteish talked about the food served at the get-togethers, parties or events hosted by SRK and Gauri at their house. Riteish mentioned the time and said that the earliest food served at Mannat is at 3 a.m. However, he also lauded his friend, Shah Rukh, and mentioned the latter's humble habit of seeing off every guest at his home individually. In Riteish's words:
“Whenever there is a get-together at Mannat, if you want to leave home early then the food is set at 3 am. But the best thing about Mannat is that the host, when you are leaving and walking towards your car, he comes himself and opens the door of your car, to say goodbye. And that is Shah Rukh Khan for you.”
