We all desperately wait for the Band Bajaa Baraat to happen in B-town. The lockdown has postponed so many weddings, and we are missing the wedding season badly. Remember how Anushka-Virat’s intimate surreal wedding had taken the internet by storm? Or the blast Sonam-Anand’s wedding was? From every celebrity dancing like crazy and looking their bomb-selves to Ranveer Singh video calling his bae, Deepika Padukone. Cut to the idea of dual wedding by Ranveer-Deepika to their innumerable reception parties to celebrate their union. And how can one forget the desi girl, Priyanka Chopra’s wedding to international sensation, Nick Jonas. We miss every B-town wedding! Amongst the list, one of the most anticipated weddings postponed due to the pandemic is of Ali Fazal with his beau, Richa Chadha. Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal had met each other for the first time on the sets of Fukrey in 2012 and had become friends, as both the actors seem to be palpable and too upfront with their thoughts. However the two had started dating in the year 2015, it was later in 2017 that the couple had made their relationship public. The couple is madly-in-love with each other and the two were ready to hold on to each other forever in the month of April 2020, but 2020 had other plans. The COVID-19 pandemic had ruined their plans, and the couple had ended up postponing their wedding. Now, in an interaction with Mumbai Mirror, Ali Fazal opens up about his wedding date.
In a conversation with the Mumbai Mirror, Ali Fazal talked about his wedding and announced that his wedding had been pushed for an indefinite time. He said, “It has been delayed until further notice. I think we will celebrate with the world when everything is open again. We have something to celebrate... some good news hopefully, that everyone will get and we'll make sure to bring that along with our wedding. Until then, we're following all the rules of the lockdown and awaiting the next steps." Seem, Ali and Richa want their wedding to be grand and don’t wish to settle down for a 50-people wedding ceremony.
In the month of April, in an interview with the Hindustan Times, Ali Fazal had talked about his wedding with beau, Richa Chadha being postponed due to the Coronavirus pandemic, and had said, “Sabki life postpone ho gayi hai, shaadi toh... let’s see what comes out of this in the new world. I hope we come out as better people, a better system, a better climate. I think there’s a major churning happening above, below, inside and outside... everywhere. It’s definitely a time to reflect.” (Recommended Read: Khushi Kapoor Reveals How People Used To Make Fun Of Her For Not Looking Like Mom, Sridevi)

Indeed the decision of shifting their wedding is a right decision as they are setting a benchmark for people to keep their and their loved ones’ safety first. An official statement had announced the delay in the love bird's wedding, which could be read as “Given the current scenario and the unfortunate turn of events owing to the COVID-19 pandemic globally, Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha have decided to postpone their wedding functions to the latter half of 2020 tentatively. They wish for everyone to be healthy and safe and at no cost would want their friends, families and well-wishers to be affected.” (Don't Miss: Dipika Kakar's 'Nanad', Saba Ibrahim Shares How Her 'Bhabhi' Defines Perfection For Her)
