The Highway actress had got married to the love of his life and supremely-talented actor, Ranbir Kapoor on April 14, 2022. The actress had looked simply out of this world on her wedding day, as her minimalist bridal look had won everyone's heart. Apart from her acting chops, Alia is also admired for the kind of person she is in real life, and a glimpse of it can be understood by the fact that she had never held any grudges with her husband's ex-girlfriend, Deepika Padukone. Once in an interview with Filmfare, Alia Bhatt had opened up about her fashion choices and her style game. From revealing that Aisha and The Devil Wears Prada are her favourite movies to sharing how she always preferred to carry her phone in a bag or a clutch. Not only this, but when Alia was asked about her ultimate style icon, she took the name of her future husband, Ranbir Kapoor's ex-girlfriend, Deepika Padukone and had praised her for having a great sense of fashion and style. However, Alia had also mentioned Ranbir's cousin-sister, Kareena Kapoor Khan, along with Sonam Kapoor Ahuja. She had said:
"Deepika Padukone, Sonam Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor are always well turned out and have a great sense of style. Anne Hathaway is an inspiration too. She's always elegantly dressed. She's one classy lady. And last but not the least, Angelina Jolie. She's hot and can carry off any look with ease."

Going further in the same interview, when Alia Bhatt was asked to reveal her favourite designers' names. The Raazi actress had mentioned her close friend and ace fashion designer, Manish Malhotra and had shared the baby doll cute dress that she had worn in the song, Disco Deewane, in her debut film, Student of the Year, was made by him. Alia had also taken the name of famous Italian fashion designer, Roberto Cavalli and American fashion designer, Marc Jacobs. She had explained:
"It's difficult to name only two. I like Manish Malhotra's bridal and Indian wear. The babydoll cut dress he made me wear in The disco song (Student Of The Year) was gorgeous. He's fabulous. I also like Marc Jacobs and Roberto Cavalli."

This isn't the only time when Alia Bhatt had praised Deepika Padukone. Time and again, we have seen her heaping so much love and admiration on Deepika for the kind of person she is in real life. Everyone had witnessed an instance of the same, when during the promotions of Gully Boy, in a conversation with the media, Alia was asked about her co-star, Ranveer Singh's marriage with Deepika Padukone. Without any hesitation about Deepika's past with her then-boyfriend, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia had given a superb answer to the question. The Gangubai Kathiawadi actress had not only praised Deepika but had also called her a 'beautiful soul'. She had said:
"You know how they say that God has created someone with a lot of love and spent a lot of time on it? Not only in her (Deepika) looks but both her soul and personality are beautiful."
For the unversed, Alia Bhatt's husband, Ranbir Kapoor had reportedly dated Deepika Padukone for almost two years before their bitter break-up.
