"Today, surrounded by our family and friends, at home … in our favourite spot - the balcony we’ve spent the last 5 years of our relationship - we got married. With so much already behind us, we can’t wait to build more memories together … memories that are full of love, laughter, comfortable silences, movie nights, silly fights, wine delights and Chinese bites. Thank you for all the love and light during this very momentous time in our lives. It has made this moment all the more special. Love."

Recently, in an interview with Filmfare, Alia Bhatt opened up about the real reason behind uploading the duo's pictures on her IG handle. The actress, who has over 66 million followers on the photo-sharing app, clarified that she does this not to gain followers or to grab fans' attention but just because she feels like doing so. Sharing the same, Alia said:
“I am putting up a picture that I want to put up. I am not doing it because I feel ‘ki mere followers badh jayenge’ and all. So, if I put up a picture, whatever picture it may be, I am doing it because of what I’m feeling at that moment, and that’s it, there’s no other explanation for it.”

“The other side to it (social media) is the pressure of having this perfect life because like I said everybody has bad days and you have to start speaking about the fact that it’s normal to have a bad day. You can’t always look Insta-ready.”
