On August 5, 2018, Alia interacted with her fans in the ‘Ask Me Anything’ feature on Instagram. When a fan asked Alia, “Will you give up acting after your marriage? Hope not..”, Alia replied, “There’s no need to give up anything but ur status. I shall act and act as long as I can.” What a relief! Given the fact that bahus of Kapoor khandaan don’t really work in film, it is good to know that Alia will go against the conventional norms and continue with her passion.

Another fan asked her, “Do you believe in true love?”, and while he/she expected a reply related to her beau, Ranbir, was answered by Alia, “I believe in unicorns and talking trees hahah… I’m a dreamer! I love love and love true love!” Another fan asked her what her favourite food is, to which she reverted, “I’m a ghar ka khana kinda girl. Dal Chawal types!”
Now, do you know what the catch here is? Well, in a throwback interview with Firstpost, Neetu Kapoor revealed that her son, Ranbir is ‘dal chawal type of a person’ and he would not appreciate a high maintenance partner. She further said that Ranbir’s future partner would have to understand how simple he is. Alia’s response perfectly fits Neetu’s description of a perfect life partner for Ranbir, who like him is a ‘dal chawal’ kind of a girl. Rab ne bana di jodi, indeed! In the recent pictures of Alia Bhatt on her social media handle, you’ll notice that the lady turned into a muse for her boyfriend, and he has captured some amazing clicks of her. In one of the pictures that Alia shared on her Instagram, she captioned it, “and into the forest, I go, to lose my mind and find my soul (amaze photographer - RK)”. And her future mother-in-law, Neetu Kapoor commented on it, “Fab pic of you by RK.” Alia also made that picture her Instagram DP.
Alia spoke to Hindustan Times about her marriage plans, and stated, “Nothing is cast in stone, right? So, if I feel that I’m in a position where I want to take such a step, then I will. I’ve always believed that I would get married because of kids. So, if I am like, ‘This is the time I want to have my children and am also ready to have babies,’ I will get married.” Further revealing that she doesn’t want to be in a live-in relationship and would want to live with her partner only after marriage, Alia expressed, “Yes, I’ve not set any deadline, because it doesn’t really matter. I may be like, ‘Listen, I love you, so let’s get married and live together but I will still work.’ So, I may get married just to live with that person. It’s also because I don’t want to be in a live-in relationship. I don’t want to live with someone until I get married. So, it may happen for that reason”.
In an interactive fan session on Twitter, Ranbir was asked about his marriage plans, to which he replied, “Hopefully soon!” Further elaborating his words in another media interview, Ranbir was quoted as saying, “When I was younger, I used to believe that I’ll get married at the age of 27. I’ll have kids by the time I am 29-30. I’ll have two kids. But life doesn’t go how you plan it. It’s how you and your partner decide that now let’s take it to the next level. And it happens very naturally and organically. I believe in the institution of marriage. I want my own children, my wife, I want to have my own family. I hope that I’ll have that privilege soon.”
In an earlier interview, Ranbir shared his feelings of being in love again, “It always comes with a lot of excitement. It’s a new person, it comes with new beats. Old tricks become new tricks again – you know, being charming and romantic, all of that. I think I’m more balanced today. I value relationships more. I can appreciate hurt and what it does to a person much more than I could a couple years back.” (Also Read: Alia Bhatt Blushes When Asked About Her Relationship Status With Ranbir Kapoor On 'Aap Ki Adalat')
