Ranbir Kapoor recently revealed that his movie Brahmastra with Alia Bhatt will always be special to him. The actor could not stop blushing when he spoke about Alia and noted that the movie would always be dear and special to him. The couple has been one of the lit pairs of Bollywood and their love story bloomed on the sets of Brahmastra.
In a recent interview with Deadline, Ranbir shared that he and Alia had started dating during the movie's shooting. He also added that by the time the movie was released, he and Alia had already gotten married and welcomed their daughter, Raha. The actor revealed details of his love story recently when an international publication asked about it. In Ranbir's words:
"We actually, met kinda — this was the first film we did together, and we started dating during the film. We got married and we had a baby. But by the release of the film. So this whole kind of Brahmastra kind of shows us, our journey together."
It was in 2022 when Ranbir and Alia got married. However, the actress got a crush on Ranbir since she was 11. She had auditioned for Black when she fell for the charismatic actor, who was Sanjay Leela Bhansali's assistant director at that time for the same movie. The Rani Mukerji and Amitabh Bachchan starrer movie released in 2005. Ranbir and Alia's Brahmastra film's shooting started in February 2018, and it also marked the beginning of their love story. Talking about her bond with Ranbir, Alia in an interview with ETimes revealed:
"It’s not a relationship. It’s a friendship. I’m saying this with all genuineness and honesty. It’s beautiful. I’m walking on stars and clouds right now. The best part is that we’re two individuals who are living our own professional lives. That’s the true mark of a comfortable relationship. Nazar na lage”.
Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra was released in September 2022. The movie is set to have a sequel, but the makers still need to reveal details about the cast. Ranbir, in the same interview, added that Brahmastra 2 has been in the writing stage. Part one was called 'Shiva', and part two is called 'Dev'. However, Ranbir also said that the cast has not yet been announced, but it is exciting. In his words:
"It's directed by one of my closest friends, Ayan. I worked on two films with him before this: Wake Up Sid and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Brahmastra. So definitely, it was one of the first few films of that nature, especially for Indian cinema. We have explored, and we've touched upon certain ideas, but it has potential to really really grow more in the coming parts."
Ayan Mukerji wrote and directed Brahmastra Part One: Shiva and it had a theatrical release in September 2022. The movie also had Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, Nagarjuna apart from Alia, while SRK had made a cameo appearance.
