Alia Bhatt is one of the most successful actresses in Bollywood. The diva never leaves a chance to mesmerise everyone with her amazing acting skills and pleasant personality. Moreover, currently, the diva is soaring high on the personal as well as the professional front. From making a stunning debut at the Met Gala 2023 to appearing at the Gucci Cruise 2023 runway show, Alia has been making the country proud. However, a section of internet users trolled the actress as she chimed for gender equality for Gucci's global campaign.
On June 5, 2023, a Reddit user dropped a video of Alia Bhatt on their handle. The video showed the actress promoting the idea of gender equality as she got featured in Gucci's new global campaign. In the video, the actress stated that if a woman is empowered, she will be productive at home and in society. She also mentioned empowering women is equal to empowering a society. In her words:
"If she is empowered, if she's productive within herself, she will productive at home, for her children, for the community, for her country, and that has a ripple effect on everyone, connected to the woman."

For the campaign video, Alia opted for a beautiful black-coloured dress that featured ruffle detail on the neckline and sleeves. She accentuated her look with an pair of diamond earrings and a ring. Shimmery eyeshadow, nude lips, blushed cheeks and open tresses added stars to Alia's look.
Soon after the video went viral, a section of internet users trolled the actress for her way of speaking. While some pointed out that Alia is just reading a script without any emotions, others took a dig at her for her views on gender equality. Reacting to her video, one of the internet users wrote, "So we should empower women not because they have the right but so that they can serve the society and family, nice." Another commented, "Very well rehearsed but lacks conviction." One more wrote, "She was reading a script."

This is not the first time when Alia got trolled by internet users. Earlier, the actress was massively trolled for wearing a T-shirt that says, 'Speak up for animals'. It so happened that, a picture of Alia went viral where she was seen donning an oversized T-shirt with black shorts. However, it was Alia's leather bag that instantly grabbed the Redditors' eyeballs. She received online hate for sporting a T-shirt that read 'Speak up for Animals' and carrying a bag made of animal skin.
Reacting to the post, one user had written, "Bollywood celebs in a nutshell". Another one added, "All celebs in a nutshell, including the one's who campaign for climate action by flying around the world in the private jets." One more internet user had commented, "I thought it was universally accepted that alia is dumb."
