Love is sweet as a marshmallow, comforting as pizza on a bad day, compatible as peanut butter and jelly and beautiful (read delicious) as a hot chocolate lava cake! Well, quite a foodies’ definition of love! When you find the person who fits into the above criteria of love, marry him! While we know finding ‘the one’ in this modern-day world is a difficult ballgame altogether, but you never know how you might end up bumping into ‘your special’ someone. And we bet Alia Bhatt had no idea what she is signing up for when she gave a nod to Ayan Mukerji for Brahmastra, opposite, Ranbir Kapoor. Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have been spotted chilling with each other and their families many a times, but had never expressed their love for one another in public until the Zee Cine Awards and Filmfare Awards. Lots of performance with each other, tonnes of PDA, holding hands and smiles were soon followed by Alia Bhatt’s heartfelt ‘I love you’ for beau, Ranbir Kapoor when she won the Filmfare Award For The Best Actress, Raazi.
And in a recent interview with Bombay Times, Alia Bhatt spoke at length about beau, Ranbir Kapoor and being in love. The Gully Boy actress shared, “Love always makes you a better person. It has definitely brought about a positive evolution within me. I am beginning to sense and feel different things, and things that I have not felt before. The attitude that I have towards my life is different now. My relationship has brought about a beautiful feeling of wonder within me that feels so precious. I feel like I’m walking around, holding on to it closely and carefully. May be, that’s why I am not so vocal about it, because I don’t want it to become a show.”
Speaking about her iconic ‘I love you’ moment at the Filmfare Award stage, Alia Bhatt had shared, “What I said was not rehearsed; it came from the heart. Since a few days before that, I was feeling a lot of gratitude. 'RRR' (SS Rajamouli’s Telugu film), and 'Inshallah' (Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next with Salman Khan) were just announced. I had won this award (Filmfare Award for Best Actress for 'Raazi'), so I was feeling very blessed. I believe that in a moment of gratitude, it is important to thank everybody, who has contributed to your life. The energy that I have today... Ranbir is a very big part of it. So, I thought that it was only right for me to thank him.” (Must Read: Malaika Arora Reacts To Her 'April Destination Wedding' Rumours With Arjun Kapoor, Here's The Truth)
Alia Bhatt also spoke about her key takeaway from boyfriend, Ranbir Kapoor and shared, “Of course, he is way more informed about all kinds of cinema. I have always been a Bollywood buff, and I mostly watch Bollywood films, which I am happy about. Ranbir has watched far more Hindi films than I have and all other kinds of cinema, too. He is way more in tune with cinema, so I am constantly trying to absorb all that from him. On set, our shooting process is very similar. We both are switch-on and switch-off actors. I was always looking forward to this moment, where I would get to work with Ranbir and see the actor that he is. I have always looked up to him as an actor; he is fabulous on screen. What I realised a few weeks into the shooting of 'Brahmastra' is that, he doesn’t have a process, and if he does, you don’t see it. I have actually heard people say that about me as well. With Ranbir, I keep wondering…where is his process, what is it, is it hiding behind a chair? When he is in front of the camera, he is in the moment, and that’s the beauty of it.”

In an interview with Vogue, Alia Bhatt revealed her thoughts about tackling a person as ‘difficult’ as Ranbir Kapoor. She had shared, “He’s not difficult. He’s a gem.” She further added, “When I met him for the first time in my life. Again, let me tell you he’s not difficult. He’s a supremely simple person. He’s such a nice human being that I wish I was as good as him. As an actor, as a person, as everything. He’s way better a person thanI am. And about getting married? Well, that’s the only thing that’s irritating right now. Every morning I wake up to the news that I’m getting married. I tell him what the hell. I guess he’s used to it.”
Alia Bhatt was also asked about being a ‘female Ranbir Kapoor’ as she seems to have developed an air of detachment around her. To this, the Highway actress replied, “I’ve always been like that. It has nothing to do with Ranbir. People keep saying Ranbir and I are so similar. I don’t think he’s detached. We don’t have or rather I don’t have the ability to pretend. So, if I’m interested, I’m interested. Also by default, my face wears a perpetual frown. I could be feeling ecstatic. But you wouldn’t know that because I’ve got this frown on my face. So, it’s not because of Ranbir. I’ve always been this way. Of late, there’s just so much going on in my mind, it’s not a good thing. I’m not present in the moment. I’m constantly flying somewhere else. Ranbir is not like that. He’s quite the opposite.” (Next Read: 'Naagin' Fame, Sayantani Ghosh On Her Wedding Plans, Says Doesn't Want To Marry Because Of Age)
