Allu Arjun is going through a tough time. Even though his film Pushpa 2 is being loved in the theatres, the Telugu actor was recently arrested on December 13, 2024, in relation to the Sandhya Theatre stampede case, where his film was screened. The actor walked out of Chanchalguda Central Jail in less than 24 hours. However, his ordeal in prison was challenging.
It was on December 13, 2024, when Allu Arjun was taken from his Hyderabad residence to Chanchalguda Central Jail after his medical tests were performed. He had to spend the night in prison as, despite getting interim bail from the Telangana High Court, there was a delay in the paperwork. As per a report by Free Press Journal during his stay, in the jail, Allu Arjun hadn't eaten and had slept on the floor. He was kept as an undertrial prisoner in a Class-1 room at Manjira Barracks.
The Telugu actor was granted bail by the Telangana High Court at 6.40 a.m. on December 14, 2024, after spending an exhausting night in prison. He had to spend the night of December 13, 2024, in jail as the authorities had not received the copy of the bail order, as stated by Allu Arjun's lawyer, Ashok Reddy. The lawyer told the media in a statement:
"You should question the government and the department why they have not released the accused. The High Court order is very specific. Forthwith, the moment you (prison authorities) receive the order, ( they should) release him. Despite the clear order, they have not released, they have to answer. This is an illegal detention. We will take legal steps."
Allu Arjun's dad, Allu Aravind, was seen outside the jail when his son, Allu Arjun, was released. He was seen exiting the jail from the backdoor and heading towards his car.
