Telugu superstar, Allu Arjun, has been facing severe backlash since his appearance at a promotional event for Pushpa 2. What was intended to be a nice surprise visit from the star, turned out to be a tragic incident when the stampede led a woman, Revathi to lose her life and get her young son seriously injured. Amid all these, protestors attacked Allu Arjun’s Hyderabad residence.
Earlier today, a mob of protestors, reportedly linked to Osmania University, Hyderabad, broke into Allu Arjun’s Jubilee Hills residence. The protestors, claiming to be part of the university’s Joint Action Committee, demanded financial assistance for the stampede victim. They were found pelting stones, breaking flower pots, and holding placards all around the house. A protestor was heard saying:
“We demand that Allu Arjun take care of the late Revathi’s family. Why did so many celebrities visit him after his jail release, but none supported the victim’s family?”
The police detained six individuals involved in the attack and filed cases against them. Allu Arjun’s children, who were present during the commotion, were promptly sent to their maternal uncle’s home for safety.
Allu Arjun’s father, Allu Arvind, finally broke his silence to the media in the aftermath of the mob attack. He condemned the attack, urging restraint and respect for the law. Allu Arvind told the media:
"The police have taken in the offenders and filed a case against them. The police are ready to take away anyone else who comes here to create a ruckus. No one should encourage incidents like these. But I will not react just because the media is here. Now is the time to practice restraint. The law will take its own course."
Allu Arvind refrained from discussing the matter further, emphasising the need for patience and discretion amid the ongoing investigations. Upon asking, Allu Arvind remarked:

The chaos erupted during the premiere of Pushpa 2 on December 4, 2024, at Hyderabad’s Sandhya Theatre. The movie’s star, Allu Arjun decided to pay a surprise visit to his fans, but this decision led to a massive crowd. The stampede resulted in the death of a 35-year-old woman, Revathi, and left her son critically injured.
Following the incident, a case was filed against Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management under various legal sections. Arjun was arrested on December 13, 2024, but released the next day on interim bail.
Telangana Chief Minister, Revanth Reddy accused Allu Arjun of being informed about Revathi’s death while still at the theatre. The Telangana police supported this claim, but Arjun maintained he was unaware of the tragedy until the next day. Meanwhile, Pushpa 2 has earned over Rs. 1,000 crores at the box office.
