Ameesha Patel has been grabbing all the limelight ever since she did a commendable performance in the film, Gadar 2. Through numerous interviews and interactions during the course of the same, Ameesha has been revealing some lesser-known anecdotes from her life, which included several instances from her career, where she was denied equal opportunities. And yet again, Ameesha recalled how she lost out on several great projects with eminent filmmakers.
During an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Ameesha Patel opened up about the biggest regrets of her career. The actress mentioned how she had once missed out on a great opportunity for a film, directed by none other than Sanjay Leela Bhansali. She revealed how her manager and Sanjay were not on the same page, and it was only when she terminated that particular manager that she came to know that she was almost on the verge of getting selected for a Bhansali film. In her words:
“There were talks for a very good project. But I don’t want to mention its name, because the film has already been made. Unfortunately, my manager at that time and Mr Bhansali were not getting along. Once I parted ways amicably with that manager, Bhansali told me that there were moments when we were supposed to work together. But, he said, he did not want to deal with my manager.”

In the same interaction, Ameesha then revealed how she later came to know that several other filmmakers, like Sanjay Leela Bhansali were keen to rope her in for a role in their films, but, unfortunately, were scared of her manager for approaching her. She mentioned:
“Even Yash Raj Films, Sajid Nadiadwala, and others told me later that they were too scared to approach me because of the person managing my work. So, I missed out on numerous promising projects, directors, and producers due to mismanagement rather than proper management. But that’s destiny.”
In her previous interview with Bollywood Bubble, Ameesh spoke about how success has always been a staggering curve in her career, and recalled the frequent times when her films failed to mark an impact on the box office. Ameesha mentioned that she was frequently a target of nasty criticism as a result, and added that such things happened since she was an outsider and didn’t have a godfather.
