Ameesha Patel is one of the most beautiful and talented actresses in Bollywood. The actress rules over millions of hearts, courtesy of her impeccable acting skills and jaw-dropping looks. Currently, Ameesha is bagging immense success for her film, Gadar 2, which marked her comeback in the acting business. For the unversed, the film is a sequel to the blockbuster film, Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. For the unversed, Ameesha made her Bollywood debut with the film, Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai, alongside Hrithik Roshan. Later, she went on to work in popular films like Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Humraaz, Humko Tumse Pyaar Hai, Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage and many more. And now, in a recent interview, Ameesha talked about her first film and how everyone was against its launch.
In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Ameesha Patel opened up about her first film, Kaho Naa.. Pyaar Hai. Talking about the same, the gorgeousness mentioned that everyone was against the launch of their film. Elaborating more on it, she revealed that nobody had faith in her first co-star, Hrithik Roshan because Abhishek Bachchan was also being launched simultaneously. In her words:
"Everyone was against the launch because everyone had no faith in Hrithik, because, at the same time, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan's son, Abhishek was being launched. I was non-filmy, Abhishek was being launched with Kareena, so this was a very underdog project till, of course, it actually came to the screens."

Further, in the same conversation, Ameesha added that the industry people had even suggested Rakesh Roshan to change the release date of their film. Mentioning that Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan's film, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani and Mela were coming during the same time as their film, Kaho Naa.. Pyaar Hai, Ameesha said:
"So, in fact, people asked Rakesh Roshan to change the release date because we had Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan's 'Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani' and 'Mela' before and after us. And they said, 'How can you bring these two nobodies in between these two hurricanes of films?' Rakesh uncle said, I am not going to change. I have faith in my film."
Earlier, in an interview with ETimes, Ameesha had opened up about her first co-star, Hrithik Roshan. When asked if she would love to work with him again, the actress shared that she would be more than happy to reunite with him. Ameesha also mentioned that she would love to work with Hrithik in a rom-com film. Talking about her Gadar co-star, Sunny Deol, Ameesha said that just like him, she shares good chemistry with Hrithik too.

Ever since Ameesha made her comeback, she has been sharing some lesser-known anecdotes about her life. For instance, earlier, in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, she recalled being labelled as too educated to be able to work in films. Elaborating more on it, Ameesha mentioned that she was often asked whether her education made her an unusual fit for performing arts. In her words:
"Why can't an educated person be involved in the performing arts? Because it was art for me."
