Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., also popularly known as Snoop Dogg, is American rapper and singer. He rose to fame in 1992 when he was featured in Dre's solo debut, Deep Cover, soon after Dr. Dre discovered him. In the same year, he was cast for Dr Dre's debut album, The Chronic. The album was a massive hit, and since then, Snoop has sold over twenty-three million copies of the album in the United States and over thirty-five million copies worldwide.
Snoop Dogg isn't just internationally famous. The singer also has a massive fan following in India. So much so that Akshay Kumar invited him to India and offered him to sing the title track of his movie, Singh Is King. Not only did the legend rap and sing for the title track, but he also donned traditional Indian sherwani and turban as he danced along with Akshay Kumar in the music video.

On December 6, 2023, Snoop Dog appeared on the Business Untitled podcast, revealing many of his financial secrets. The Drop It Like It's Hot singer divulged that this year, he had more than a billion streams on Spotify, for which the music streaming platform had to pay him a fee. On further inquiry from the host, he reveals that he earns approximately USD 40 thousand for a billion streams, which is around INR 34 lakh. However, the rapper did not seemed satisfied with the amount and added:
"In the streaming world, I could show you right now, they sent me some sh-t from Spotify where I got a billion streams, My publisher hit me. I said, 'Break that down. How much money is that?' That s-it wasn't even USD 45,000."

For the unversed, Snoop Dogg has, over the years, become a marketing genius, and all his endeavours do exceptionally well. He has even collaborated with all Hollywood A-listers. Revealing some of his tactics, the Singh Is King singer revealed that he feels like good people deserve each other, and he goes directly to approach them for work. Snoop Dogg further added:

"I have never been afraid to approach people that I like or met. The first thing I always say to them is that I want to work with you, and in some form or capacity, we figure out a way to make it happen. It then organically happens."
