Legendary Bollywood actor, Amitabh Bachchan is well-recognised for being one of the only celebrities who keeps in touch with his adoring fans on a near-regular basis. The Sholay star has his own blog, which he frequently uses to share his thoughts with his followers. Not only that, Amitabh is also known to wish his fans on their birthday and anniversaries via his blog. Today, December 21, 2024, is the death anniversary of the veteran actor's mother, Teji Bachchan. Thus, he took to his blog once more to pen an emotional note in her honour.
Amitabh Bachchan, fondly referred to as Big B by most, took to his blog on Saturday, December 21, 2024, to make a heartfelt post for his late mother, Teji Bachchan on her 17th death anniversary. For the uninitiated, Teji, the wife of late poet, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, entered her eternal rest on December 21, 2007, at the age of 93 after batting a prolonged illness. Amitabh shared an unseen picture of his beloved mother and paired it with an emotional note that could be read as:
"Today the 21st of December: In remembrance… right before my eyes, each moment of each day."
Earlier, in 2017, Amitabh Bachchan had taken to his blog yet again to write a gut-wrenching post about his mother, Teji Bachchan's final moments. Painting a vivid picture through his words, Big B recounted:
"As she struggled to beat the heart rate monitor, valiant attempts made by the doctors in attendance, in the process of revival, were being conducted. The heart was responding intermittently her frail body. The force filled hand pumping on her chest by burly hands, were hurting for me to witness. The machine had given up, the revivalists were changing hands. The life of mother would stop for a while and then come back again. We stood holding hands with each other and watched her go."
For a long time, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan were making headlines for all the wrong reasons. Rumours were rife about the couple's impending divorce and alleged affair between Abhishek and Nimrat Kaur. Later, speculations also arose about feuds between various family members. For the most part, the Bachchan clan maintained a dignified silence about the unfounded gossip.
However, Amitabh, known for pouring his heart out on his blog, vented his thoughts about untruths and unverified information online. The actor penned that he really said much about his family in public as that was his 'domain' and he liked to maintain its 'privacy.' However, he urged people to be wary of 'speculated untruths,' and wrote:

"I rarely say much about family, because that is my domain and its privacy is maintained by me .. Speculations are speculations .. they are speculated untruths , without verifications .. Verifications are sought by the seekers to authenticate their business and commercials of the profession they be in .. I shall not challenge their desire to be in the profession of their choice .. and I shall appreciate their effort in serving society .. But untruths .. or selected question marked information can be a legal safeguard for them that inform .. but the seed of suspected belief is sown with this most used emblem .. the question mark ..?"
