Amitabh Bachchan is one of the most talented actors in Bollywood. The actor has been winning the hearts of the cine-lovers for a long time. Throughout his acting career, Amitabh has provided his fans with numerous blockbusters. Even in today's time, he can stand equal with any other present-day actor in the game of acting spree. Big B is currently hosting Kaun Banega Crorepati 15, wherein he often reveals unheard anecdotes from his life, and something similar happened yet again. Recently, Amitabh Bachchan, on the show, got nostalgic and recalled his childhood days.
Recently, a farmer from Maharashtra, Vishwas Tulshiram Dake graced the hot seat of Amitabh Bachchan's show, KBC 15. While being there, the framer revealed several anecdotes about his life. He shared how he grows sugarcane and sweet lime on his land. However, the talented individual bagged Rs. 12,50,000. When the contestant won a whopping sum of Rs. 3,20,000, Big B took out his pen, and to make it work better, he touched the nib of the pen with his tongue. The contestant remained stunned by Big B's deed and said that he does the same when pens don't work.

To this, Amitabh Bachchan let Vishwas Tulshiram Dake know that he has the same habit and said, "There is no difference between the two of us." The contestant denied the same and added that he and the actor are poles apart. However, Amitabh further told him that when he was a child, his dad, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, used to earn Rs. 400-500 monthly, with which they didn't have the chance to afford a pen. Amitabh Bachchan mentioned:
“During childhood, I didn't have a pen. My dad used to earn around Rs 400-500 a month. We couldn't afford a pen with it. So, that's how we got educated.”
Going further in the conversation, Amitabh Bachchan was asked by the contestant if the actor was rejected to get a job at All India Radio. The contestant asked if it was true that Amitabh didn't get the job because of his voice, and later, the actor became the 'king of voice'. To this, Big B shared that the contestant's first statement was true but not the second one.

There's no second thought about the fact that Amitabh was extremely close to his father. Time and again, he shared anecdotes about learnings he received from Harivansh Rai Bachchan. For instance, back in 2020, Amitabh shared a photo of himself, which featured him at a dubbing studio. Sharing the photo, Big B shared that he was busy shooting for KBC. The actor also added that his father used to tell him that one can achieve nothing without hard work, and till the time there's life, there's fight.

For those who don't know, Harivansh Rai Bachchan was one of the most famous poets and writers of 20th-century Hindi literature. To reveal an interesting anecdote, Harivansh Rai Bachchan was born into an Awadhi Hindu Kayastha family, and the name of his family was Srivastava. However, as per Wikipedia, the famous poet used to pen his name as 'Bachchan', which means child, instead of 'Srivastava' in his poetry. The late poet, Harivansh also received Padma Bhushan for his contribution to Hindi literature. Apart from being a poet, he was also a university professor and a PhD.
