"Hamare parivaar mein main pehla film kalakar hoon, aur jaisa ke meri mata ji hamesha kehti hain, jab unse poocha jata hai ke aapke bachhe aapke pati-ki tarah kyun nahin bane toh woh kehti hain ke ek ghar mein ek hi kavi kaafi hai. Usi tarah, main bhi yehi kehna chahunga ke ek parivaar mein ek film kalakar kaafi hai.”

However, Amitabh Bachchan added that just in case his children, Shweta and Abhishek, did want to be actors and join the film industry, they would have to go through their own struggles. The superstar mentioned that he would want them to start in the same way he did and experience everything he went through. The Sholay actor said:
"Lekin agar meri beti aur beta film industry mein aana chahein, toh main chahunga ke woh bhi usi tarah apni shuruaat karein jis tarah maine ki thi. Jaise humne struggle kiya, waise hi woh bhi us dor se guzrein."
Shweta Bachchan didn't follow in the footsteps of her superstar parents to join the film industry. She is a popular columnist, author, and former model. In 2018, Shweta Bachchan turned author with the novel, Paradise Towers. However, she couldn't succeed in her writing career and also couldn't take the bad reviews for the book well. Talking about dealing with failure, in one of the episodes of What The Hell Navya, Shweta said that it took her a long time to overcome that, and she stopped writing.
