Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan are hailed as an evergreen couple, who often shell out major couple goals out there even after 51 years of their marriage. The couple's love story began on the sets of their movie, Zanjeer, and after that, they tied the knot. Time and again, Amitabh shared some unheard anecdotes about his marital life with Jaya, and yet the same happened as Amitabh recently answered a contestant's question about his wife, Jaya Bachchan.
On Kaun Banega Crorepati 16, Amitabh Bachchan was asked by a contestant about whether he is able to give time to his wife, Jaya Bachchan, due to his work commitments. Talking about the same, Amitabh said that he feels hurt when people come to him and ask him personal questions. Amitabh can be quoted as saying:

"Oho kya bataye? Yeh joh parivarik prashn puch lete hai na log yaha aake..usmei humko bada kasht hota hai."
Amitabh Bachchan shared that back in that time, he used to work in three different shifts for three different films. Amitabh revealed that his late father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, even told him that he works way too hard, and he replied by saying that money is extremely important. He also disclosed that Jaya Bachchan has no such complaints and says nothing to him. Amitabh added:
"Hamara kaam joh tha woh teen teen shift mei hota tha. Subah 7 baje se leke dupahar 2 baje tak ek film ek shift. 2 baje dupahar se leke 10 baje tak raat ko dusri alag film, dusra shift. Phir wapas 7 baje wali shift pe jana hai."
In an old video of Kaun Banega Crorepati, Jaya Bachchan revealed that Amitabh Bachchan has more than one phone, but he never receives calls. The actress shared that whenever anything important comes up, Amitabh never receives calls, and later also gets angry about why he was not informed. Navya Naveli Nanda and Shweta Bachchan shared how Amitabh never gives a reply on time.
Navya further stated how once Jaya Bachchan dropped a text at their family group about catching a flight, and everybody asked her to have a safe landing. Well, Amitabh too replied but 4 hours later, when Jaya was already at home. Defending himself, Amitabh said he must have been in such a place where it took the message a bit more time to reach the destination.

In an episode of KBC 16, Amitabh was asked who made the first move in his and Jaya Bachchan's relationship. To this, the actor said there was nothing like making moves, but their love story began on the sets of Zanjeer, and before that, they used to meet like common friends. Their friends decided on a trip to London if Zanjeer would work well, but Amitabh Bachchan's father gave a condition that if Jaya would go to London with Amitabh, then they would have to get married first.
