Amitabh Bachchan has been hailed as Shahenshah of Bollywood and has been ruling the film industry for many decades. However, to create a huge name and legacy for himself, his personal life took a backseat, and it seems like Amitabh Bachchan regrets all the time he couldn't give to his children. Recently, he expressed disappointment in not being able to spend a lot of time with his children when they were growing up.
Amitabh Bachchan is currently busy hosting the sixteenth season of his show, Kaun Banega Crorepati. In the latest episode, a contestant sitting on a hot seat told him how the year was special as she got her pregnancy news. She further took the opportunity to ask Amitabh Bachchan about his children and who took responsibility for taking care of the kids, Shweta Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan.
To which, Amitabh Bachchan instantly replied, 'Jaya ji'. The contestant further inquired about the challenges they faced as parents; Amitabh further stated that it was Jaya who took care of it. He said:
"Jaya karti thi."
Further, Amitabh expressed disappointment on how he wasn't able to spend as much time with their kids, Shweta and Abhishek. They would sleep while he would leave for his shoot, and when Amitabh Bachchan would come back home late in the night, the kids would be sleeping as they had school the next day. He said:
"Sara-kuch Jaya ne kiya hai… Jitna samay hum Abhishek aur Shweta ke saath bitaana chahte the, woh nahi kar paaye. Jab kaam par jaate the, tab woh so rahein hote the aur jab waapas aata, tab bhi so rahein the.. But ab jo bade hogaye hai, toh unke saath samay bita leta hu ab."
Earlier, in an episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16, Amitabh Bachchan introduced the 'Fastest Fingers' round, in which contestants compete to give correct answers. Amitabh revealed that, just like last season, the contestant who gave all ten correct answers would be invited to his home for dinner.

Further, Amitabh was asked who cooks at his home. Amitabh instantly replied that it was his wife, Jaya Bachchan. The superstar further added that after fifty years, his wife knows their habits and makes sure there is food. Taunting his wife (like every other husband), Amitabh added that she makes sure that they should eat, even if they don't want to.
