Amitabh Bachchan is one of the legendary actors of his generation. Once termed the 'Angry Young Man' of Bollywood, Amitabh has worked in more than 200 films. The actor made his film debut in 1969, and since then, he has never looked back. Even at the age of 81, he is performing his best on-screen.
But just like everybody, Amitabh too, loves to walk down his memory lane and revisiting beautiful incidents of his life. On August 1, 2024, he did something similar. To mark World Scout Scarf Day, he shared two throwback pictures from his school days in 1954, and wrote a lovely note recollecting the old time. He penned in his blog:
"And .. for the nostalgic days of Scout .. August 01 be World Scout Scarf Day .. and .. the Salute and greetings. Oh gosh those were the days at BHS, Allahabad .. and the scouting experiences with the troop and the visitor of the head of the Scouts from Australia and how he remembered the number of autographs he signed .. quite remarkable .. and these pictures of all rather grim looking scouts."

Amitabh Bachchan's pictures were from the time when he was a part of the Scouts group, who won the Inter-troop challenge shield, from Allahabad district in 1954. Further, he explained how the old memories are intact in his mind, but he failed to recognise even people from the recent meets. He added:
"Even I find it difficult to recognise me .. though I still remember most of the others .. strange is it not how you remember those early days and have problems remembering the recent meets."
Amitabh also shared the same photos on his IG handle. He shared a group picture from the proud moment with the shield and the troop, and cropped himself in another glimpse. Sharing the pictures, Amitabh penned:
"Those good ol’ days of Boy Scouts .. the special scarfs .. the badge .. the special salute .. Baden Powell its Founder .. and how many of those learnings still being practised."
