Regarded as the Shahenshah of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan has always been an inspiration to millions. He is an institution of talent, who has motivated millions, who dream each day to make it big in Bollywood. The living legend of Indian cinema has an array of fine films to his credit. After an initial hiccup with some flops, Amitabh Bachchan rose to fame in 1973 with his hit film, Zanjeer and since then, there was no looking back for him.
On the personal front, Amitabh Bachchan is married to veteran actress, Jaya Bhaduri, and they are proud parents to Shweta Bachchan Nanda and Abhishek Bachchan. They share a warm rapport with their son-in-law and daughter-in-law, Nikhil Nanda and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and are doting grandparents to Navya Naveli Nanda, Agastya Nanda and Aaradhya Bachchan.

Amitabh Bachchan dotes on his son, Abhishek Bachchan and he too shares a very warm bond with his pa. We have often seen the duo paying visits to each other’s sets, and this time it was quite special. Amitabh Bachchan is soon going to turn 80 and the makers of the show, Kaun Banega Crorepati season 14 will celebrate his birthday. As per the latest promo released by the makers, Amitabh Bachchan’s son too was seen joining the celebration, leaving him emotional and teary-eyed.

In the promo, Amitabh Bachchan was seen hosting the show, and in the middle of it, the hooter beeps, leaving the host in confusion. Suddenly, in the background, Abhishek’s voice is heard as he says the famous lines, “Kabhi kabhi mere dil mein khayal aata hai” from the veteran actor’s film, Kabhi Kabhie. As Abhishek enters the stage, Amitabh gets surprised and the father-son duo embrace each other in a tight hug. It becomes an emotional moment as Amitabh was seen with tears in his eyes and Abhishek tried to calm him down by patting his back.

Amitabh Bachchan has always been his son’s pillar of strength and his biggest cheerleader. When Abhishek’s film, Dasvi's trailer was released, Amitabh had lauded Abhishek's performance in it and also declared him his heir. Quoting his father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan's poem, Amitabh had penned:
"Mere bete, bete hone se tum mere uttradhikari nahi hoge. Jo mere uttradhikari honge, wo mere bete honge. --Harivansh Rai Bachchan. Abhishek, tum mere uttradhikari hoge, bus keh diya to keh diya."’
Well, Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan are the epitome of father-son goals!
