Love is all about finding that right partner with whom you can spend the entire life. Marriage is not always about celebrating achievements of life, it is also about facing all the downs while holding each other’s hand. It is about taking each other’s opinions and understanding one another’s emotions. We live an unpredictable life and if we have someone, whom we can count upon, our life gets a new meaning. Marriage is about leaving the unconventional notions and stereotypes and still be happy in each other’s company. One such couple, who had broken the stereotype on marriage is Amrita Arora and her husband, Shakeel Ladak. Amrita Arora’s mother is a Malayali Catholic and her father is a Punjabi. She had gotten married to businessman, Shakeel Ladak, who is a Muslim on March 4, 2009. They had tied the knot in two rituals. She had a Christian wedding in the morning followed by a Nikah in the afternoon. The doting couple entered parenthood and had welcomed their son in March 2010, whom they had named Azaan. The duo had embraced parenthood for the second time in October 2012 when they had become proud parents to their second baby boy Rayaan. Amrita and Shakeel are an ideal couple and give major goals to the millennials.
On March 4, 2020, Amrita and Shakeel completed 11 years of marital bliss and shared adorable wishes for each other with some unseen wedding pictures. Amrita took to her Instagram handle and shared an adorable picture from their Christian wedding. Along with the picture, she wrote, “What was, still is! 11 years and a whole lotta more to go. Happppy anniversary @shaklad #wegotthisbaby.” Amrita also shared some unseen pictures from her wedding on her Instagram stories. Shakeel, on the other hand, shared a solo picture of his dearest wifey, Amrita and wrote, “Happy Anniversary Dearest Amu.”

Wishing her daughter on her eleventh wedding anniversary, Amrita's mother, Joyce Arora took to her Instagram and shared a beautiful picture of Amrita and Shakeel with their children. Along with the picture, Joyce wrote, "Happy anniversary dear Amu & Shakeel. Here's to an eternity of love & hand happiness. Lots of love." Take a look at the beautiful picture:
On March 4, 2019, when Amrita and Shakeel had completed ten years of marital bliss, she had taken to her Instagram handle and had shared an unseen picture with Shakeel. Along with the picture, she had written, “CANNOT believe its 10 years today Happy 10th anniversary @shaklad !This pic was days before we got married ,we look the same.....NOT! hahahahha ...We got this baby ,10 years and million more to go .You the best my baby boy. On Diwali, October 28, 2019, Amrita Arora had taken to her Instagram handle and had shared picture from the celebrations. They had looked adorable in their traditional attires giving couple goals. Along with the picture, she had written, “Coupling the Diwali way” followed by an array of hearts.
Coming back to their marriage, the couple had exchanged rings and wedding vows, followed by a brunch at Mumbai’s famous Olive Restaurant. Amrita had worn a white wedding gown designed by Ashley Rebello. Her outfit was an exquisite white concoction of silk, satin and Chantilly and vintage Emilio Ungaro lace covered in Swarovski crystals and rice pearls. Shakeel had looked dapper in a black and grey suit. Their Nikah ceremony, followed by a grand reception at Taj Lands End, Mumbai, saw her in a traditional green lehenga and red choli making her look like a traditional Indian bride. She wore an emerald and polki set matching to her outfit.
Amrita and Shakeel’s wedding encompassed the best traditions from different religions. For her Christian wedding her sister, Malaika Arora and her BFFs, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Arpita Khan were her bridesmaid. They looked stunning in peach and caramel coloured gowns. The wedding saw the who's who of the industry like Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Karisma Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Gauri Khan, Manish Malhotra amongst many others.
