“Chai ke liye jaise toast hota hai, Vaise har ek friend zaroori hota hai, Aise har ek friend zaroori hota hai...” A single soul that is dwelling in two bodies is what friendship is! Relatives are the ones we are born with and friends are the one, who we choose to be with. Such is the strong bond between childhood chuddy-buddies, Suhana Khan, Shanaya Kapoor and Ananya Panday. While Ananya has already stepped into the showbiz world, we are waiting for the other two to make a debut soon.
Every now and then, whether their mommies or their fan pages give us a chance to sneak peek into their childhood pictures. There are many snaps of Suhana, Ananya and Shanaya that keep cropping up in our news feeds and now, Shanaya's mom, Maheep Kapoor has given us a gift by sharing an old picture of the friends' trio. On August 6, 2019, Maheep took to her official Instagram handle and shared a lovely unseen throwback picture wherein we can spot Maheep herself, Gauri Khan and little toddlers, Suhana and Shanaya. Keeping it simple and straightforward, Maheep captioned the picture as, “#Squad.” Ananya is missing in the click and so she chose to leave a lovely comment on the post, which could be read as, “Kinda missing me???” Checkout:
In an interaction with the Asian Age, Suhana had once talked about her friends, Suhana and Shanaya. The budding star was quoted as saying, “Suhana, Shanaya and I have grown up together and are practically of the same age. So whenever trolling or bullying happens, we three have each others back. We can count on each other during our lows. I am lucky because they are always with me no matter what.” (Checkout: Kareena Kapoor Has Bribed Taimur Ali Khan As She Wants Him To Become A Cricketer, Details Inside)

In the same interview she had also shared her views on the trolls she was targeted with during Student of The Year 2’s release, “You can’t change who your parents are, and I would never want to do that. I am so proud of my dad. While I was promoting SOTY 2, I noticed that people used to ask about nepotism, and Tiger (Shroff) used to tell me ‘just let your work do that talking’. Once your film is out then they are not looking at you as someone’s daughter or son, they look at you as an actor. Being a star kid, I don’t want to complain. I am lucky and super blessed. Yes, there is a negative side of comparison and trolling, but there are so many positive aspects to it and I just want to focus on that.”
Once in a media interaction, Ananya had vouched for huddling with Suhana and Shanaya and dancing on Bollywood songs during birthday parties. The SOTY star had remarked, “When we were young, during our family gatherings, we would put together shows and perform in front of our parents. Shah Rukh sir would record us on a Handycam, and we would make short films out of them." (Do Read: Dipika Kakar's Sister-In-Law, Saba Had Planned Her Birthday Celebration, Shares A 'Love You' Note)
Did you know that Ananya didn’t tell Suhana and Shanaya about signing SOTY? Yes, that’s what you read! Revealing the same, Ananya herself had shared, "I didn't tell them about SOTY 2 for a long time because I didn't want to disappoint them in case it didn't work out. They are always posting my links and speaking to people about me.”
In another chat with media once, Ananya had shared in an interview that she used to play acting games with her besties. This is what she had said, “I've always wanted to be an actor, but I'm not a trained actor. I've just played 'acting games' with Suhana Khan (Shah Rukh Khan's daughter) and Shanaya Kapoor (Sanjay Kapoor's daughter), imitating our moms Gauri, Bhavna and all. (Smiles) I've pursued drama in school. Since my grandparents were doctors and I love biology as a subject, I almost had this moment in life when I thought I'll be a doctor. But no, acting is my calling. I'm a very filmi bachcha.” (Also Check: Radhakrishn's Sumedh Mudgalkar Had To Convince His Mom That He Isn't Dating Co-Star, Mallika Singh)
In an interview with IB Times, Ananya Panday had shared that she, along with her besties, Suhana Khan and Shanaya Kapoor would love to be cast in this movie together, “Suhana's going to NYU (New York University) for studying acting and I think that's amazing. She is such a good actor if you've seen her videos online. I've always seen her act and loved how she is. We don't have any serious conversations about acting. We're like sisters so, it's the fun and fluffy stuff. But if anyone is making a film on three best friends, please cast Suhana, Shanaya and I – maybe a Dil Chahta Hai 2!”
Here’s wishing a lifetime of friendship to this lovely trio, Ananya, Shanaya and Suhana!
