Ananya Panday Reveals Her Mom Requests Their Househelp To Perform A Ritual To Guard Her From 'Nazar'

Ananya Pandey continues to impress the critics and audiences with her work in her recently premiered film, CTRL. The film is directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and features Vihaan Samat, Devika Vatsa, Sucheta Trivedi, and many more in crucial roles. The film premiered on Netflix on October 4, 2024, and instantly received a thumbs-up from the audience. After receiving so much love for her work in the Netflix web series, Call Me Bae, Ananya continues to shine in the OTT space while simultaneously making her mark in the film industry. 

Ananya Panday reveals how her mother, Bhavana Pandey, protects her from evil eye and requests their househelp to perform a ritual

In a conversation with ETimes, Ananya Panday opened up about her mother, Bhavana Pandey and admitted that her mother protects her from 'buri nazar' every single day by doing a small ritual. Revealing her mother's secret way to safeguard her from the evil eye, Ananya shared that every day, she puts two black dots of kohl behind her ears. The actress also added that sometimes her friends and people mistook those black dots as dirt. However, Ananya admitted that she continues to follow this ritual.

In the same interview, Ananya Panday also talked about another ritual which is performed weekly in her house. The actress shared that her mother, Bhavana Pandey requests their househelp to perform a ritual with the help of chillies to guard her from evil spirits and energies. Well, it is quite understandable because Ananya is going through an excellent run of form on the professional front. The actress is going to be seen next in the film, Shankara, a courtroom drama based on the life of Chettur Sankaran Nair. The film is going to feature Akshay Kumar and R Madhavan in leading roles alongside Ananya Panday.

Talking about Ananya Panday's personal life, reports were rife that she introduced Walker Blanco as her boyfriend at Anant Ambani's wedding. Soon, she was spotted wearing an 'AW' inscribed necklace that made people believe in her dating rumours with Walter. However, rumours took a major rise when Walter's name flashed on Ananya's phone during an event, and she immediately hid it.

Opening up about the same in a conversation with News18 Showsha, Ananya shared that she has nothing to hide and doesn't care about the rumours anymore. The actress said:

"I've given up at this point. I've realised that the more I try to hide something or be sneaky, the more I get caught doing it. So. I've just let go now. Whatever! I don't care now. I'm not trying to hide anything."
