Angad Bedi is one of the most popular actors in the block, known for his handsome good looks and exceptional acting mettle. Son of eminent cricketer, late Bishan Singh Bedi, Angad also takes a keen interest in fitness and sports, and recently, he bagged an enormous achievement for the same. However, it was the heart-melting dedication of his win to his late father, that grabbed attention.
On October 30, 2023, Angad Bedi took part in the prestigious Open International Masters 2023 Athletics Championship held in Dubai, and showcased prowess in the category of the International Sprinting Championship. What’s more gratifying is the fact that the actor ended up bagging a gold medal, as he completed the 400-metre race within an impressive time of 67 seconds. For the unversed, Angad had been under the guidance of coach, Brinston Miranda, who is a talented name in the world of hurdle racing.

For the unversed, Angad returned to work and bagged such a massive achievement days after he lost his dear father and eminent sports personality, late Bishan Singh Bedi. While things have surely been painful in the actor’s personal life, nevertheless, he braved and bounced back to work. As a result, Angad dedicated his gold medal to his dad, and mentioned:
“This win is dedicated to my father, he always said that keep your head down and let your actions speak. I have always been deeply inspired by his wisdom. I did this race because that’s what my father would have wanted. It’s my way of honouring him and his legacy. Sportsmanship is in my blood. And I want to do exactly what my father would have expected of me. I did this race, in honour of him and his values that he has instilled in me during his wonderful life. He will always be there with me, as my guiding light. I am also deeply grateful for the guidance and mentorship of Coach Miranda, whose expertise has been instrumental in my progress.”
Taking to his IG handle, Angad dropped a special video that included a closer glimpse of his performance at the Open International Masters 2023 Athletics Championship, as well as a picture of his gold medal. The video captured several moments pre and post his race and even included a few candid moments with his father, late Bishan Singh Bedi. Along with the video, Angad penned a note, describing how he didn’t feel enough strength to perform at the championship, post the loss of his father. In his words:

“Didnt have the heart.. didnt have the courage.. Body wasnt willing.. Nor was the mind. But an external force from up above made me pull through.. not my best time..Not my best form but some how we did it.. This gold will always be my most special. Thank you Dad for being with me... I miss you. Your son.”

For the unversed, she hosted the opening night of the Jio MAMI Film Festival in Mumbai. The actress certainly put up a brave front, as she prioritised her work commitments amidst personal grief. The diva looked charismatic in a black-hued pencil skirt, teamed with a white-hued halter neck layered top. Paying tribute and honouring her late father-in-law, Bishan Singh Bedi, Neha wore a black arm-band on her left hand.
