It is rightly proved that no matter how much you fight for that TV remote until it breaks, to which side of the bed you are getting to sleep at night, but during times of turmoil and storm, it is our siblings from whom we receive unconditional support and depend on them without the fear of being judged or burdened. One of the most gorgeous celebrity sister duos, Deepika Padukone and her golfer-sister, Anisha Padukone have always been in the headlines, thanks to their ‘oh-so-stylish’ looks and pulling each other’s leg! Also a few days back, to-be-jiju Ranveer Singh, turned photographer for Anisha and Deepika. Deepika, who is always all praises about her baby sister, posted the picture with an adorable caption which said, “me and my little...coz sisters are the bestest!!” Here’s the picture:
Deepika has time and again shared in interviews what a great support system Anisha has been to her throughout her journey. The Padmaavat actress, at one point in time had a tough time dealing with depression. In an interview with News 18, Anisha opened up for the first time about the same. She shared, “In her role as a global social influencer, she felt it was critical to share her story and thereby contribute to sparking (and sustaining) conversations on this key topic.”
She also spoke about how she and her parents coped with Deepika being diagnosed with depression and shared, “Honestly, it was difficult for me as I had very little idea about mental illness and the role of a caregiver. Coping with mental illness affects both the individuals and members of their immediate family. There was not much information available where I could learn and equip myself to be of help. There were times when I felt helpless. Fortunately for us, my mother noticed something was wrong. We then approached a counsellor who is also a very close family friend and things worked out.” (Also Read: No Gold And Platinum But Only Silver Jewellery In Deepika Padukone And Ranveer Singh's Wedding?)
And ever since Deepika has come out of her own depression, she has started her own foundation to help create awareness about the importance to create a sound mental health. Anisha is the director at the foundation that Deepika runs. In the same interview, she further revealed, “As a family, it is a gratifying feeling to know that indirectly you are helping save lives”.
Coming back to the fun part, on May 22, 2018, Anisha shared how normal a girl Deepika is, when she is at home. And she did not share this easily. Anisha explained it by a hilarious troll. Deepika posted the picture as her Instagram story and a post which she captioned as, “after a hard day at work, this is what my little sister sends me!!! love you AP! @anishapadukone.” Check it out below:

Deepika is 5 years elder to Anisha and is extremely protective about younger sibling. In a throwback interview, Anisha had shared about her equation with Deepika. The former had said, “We have a five-year age gap, so she is both like a friend and a mother to me. She is very protective of me, like a typical big sister. Though we are close, we only get to meet once every two-three months because of our schedules and how much we travel. Though we don't discuss our work much, I'm a big critic when it comes to her films. I watch all of them and from her initial days, I would tell her what I liked and what I didn't. I would tell her, 'You could have done this much better' or 'I didn't really like that at all'. Of course, all this is from the point of view of an audience member, since I'm no expert on acting or cinema. However, I can be very critical and she always takes that very positively." (Don't Miss!
