Anita Hassanandani Reddy, a prominent figure in the Indian television industry, is best known for her role in Star Plus' serial, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein alongside Divyanka Tripathi and Karan Patel. A variety of roles in serials like Kkavyanjali, Kabhii Sautan Kabhii Sahelii, Kohi Apna Sa, and in Hindi and regional films has marked her career. However, after a successful stint of over two decades, she has made a significant decision to take a break from acting for five years, a move that has surprised many.
Anita Hassanandani was previously in a relationship with Eijaz Khan, and the duo was quite serious about each other. Their fans were convinced that the duo was the endgame and they would tie the knot and live happily ever after. But fate had other plans, and the duo split. Anita is now happily married to Rohit Reddy, and the duo is blessed with a baby boy. Talking about her relationship with Eijaz, Anita shared:
"I learnt a lot, I became a better person, we were just two very good people not good for each other. The only thing I regret is that I let go of my prime career."
Anita added that Eijaz wasn't happy with her sacrificing her career, and now even she feels that she shouldn't have done that. She over did in the relationship and, to date, regrets it. In Anita's words:
"I wasn't sure if Eijaz was okay with it. He didn't stop me, but because I wanted to overdo in the relationship, I made a few bad career moves."
Anita clarified that Eijaz never forced her to compromise, but she willingly did everything as she wanted a perfect relationship. For her relationships are more important than career. Anita further shared:
“I gave up on a lot of my career. Not that he forced me to but he always said that I wouldn’t want you to do a film or wouldn’t want you to do a scene like this or whatever so I let go of a lot of great opportunities for me. Because for me, love or relationship was more important at that point. That’s my only regret. You change a bit in love to impress the other person. You want them to love you a little more so you do certain things.”
Following her pregnancy, Anita chose to take a break from her on-screen work. Now, at 43, she's ready to return with the new show, Suman Indori. In a recent conversation, Anita opened up about her comeback and the mom guilt she's been experiencing. For those who may not know, Anita and her husband, Rohit Reddy, welcomed their son, Aaravv Reddy, in 2021.

Speaking with the Hindustan Times, Anita revealed the challenges of leaving her 4-year-old at home, but also her excitement to return to work. She shared her belief that as parents, it's crucial to consider their needs and passions, saying:
"Leaving Aarav has been incredibly challenging for me as a mother, but I’m coping with it. I love my work and have been missing shooting, so there's a bit of mom guilt mixed in with the excitement. As parents, it’s important to consider our own needs and passions, too."
Anita also mentioned that on some days, even her husband, Rohit, takes time off to be with their son in her absence, and they have been working together to ensure that their Aaru isn't missing out on anything. Talking about how she and Rohit have been trying to strike a balance, Anita said:
"Rohit also takes time off to be with Aaru when I'm working, so we're working together to ensure he’s not missing out on anything. We're striving to find a balance that allows us both to pursue our passions while giving him the attention he needs."
