Anita Hassanandani Reddy is a popular name in the Indian television industry. She is best known for her role in Star Plus' serial, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, which features Divyanka Tripathi and Karan Patel. Apart from daily soaps, Anita has also worked in Hindi and regional films. However, after being in the industry for over two decades, she decided to stay away from the camera for five years.
Following her pregnancy, Anita did not do much work on screen and decided to take a hiatus. At present, the 43-year-old actress is all set to make her comeback with the new show, Suman Indori. During a recent conversation, Anita talked about her comeback and mom guilt. For the uninitiated, the actress welcomed her son, Aaravv Reddy, in 2021 with her husband, Rohit Reddy.
While speaking with the Hindustan Times, Anita shared that it has been incredibly difficult for her to leave her 4-year-old at home, but she is coping with it. However, as she loved her work with all her heart, she was excited as well. Sharing that as parents, it's important to consider their needs and passions, Anita said:
"Leaving Aarav has been incredibly challenging for me as a mother, but I’m coping with it. I love my work and have been missing shooting, so there's a bit of mom guilt mixed in with the excitement. As parents, it’s important to consider our own needs and passions, too."
Anita also mentioned that on some days, even her husband, Rohit, takes time off to be with their son in her absence, and they have been working together to ensure that their Aaru isn't missing out on anything. Talking about how she and Rohit have been trying to strike a balance, Anita said:
"Rohit also takes time off to be with Aaru when I'm working, so we're working together to ensure he’s not missing out on anything. We're striving to find a balance that allows us both to pursue our passions while giving him the attention he needs."
In the same conversation, Anita revealed how she strikes a balance between her work and spending time with her son. The 43-year-old shared that she stays three days at home and then completely commits the remaining four days to her work. Anita talked about how her son has been able to understand that his mother has to go to work and added:

"I try to take him along on the weekends and now, he also knows how to video call and has been a great support. He is young, almost four-years-old but understands that his mom has to go to work and will come back."
However, nothing comes easily. Anita disclosed that there had been days when her son, Aaravv would call her crying and say that he missed her a lot. This would dishearten the actress, but she found a fix. Anita revealed that she would surprise her son with something or the other, and then they would be back to normal.
Furthermore, Anita discussed that working in the television industry can be taxing at times. However, the shoot schedule of her upcoming show, Suman Indori, which will be released on September 3, 2024, allowed her to take breaks often. For the uninitiated, Anita last made a brief appearance in Hum Rahein Ya Na Rahein last year, but she doesn't consider this her comeback. She said that Sumon Indori is her full-time return to work.
