Actress Ankita Lokhande had rose to fame with her stint in the popular show, Pavitra Rishta. It was during the show, when she had fallen in love with her co-actor, Sushant Singh Rajput. After being in a relationship for six years, the duo had called it quits and moved on in their lives. After parting ways, Ankita had found love in businessman, Vicky Jain.

On June 14, 2020, Ankita Lokhande’s life had broken into pieces when she had received the news of her ex-boyfriend, Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. It was reported that the Kai Po Che actor had committed suicide. His untimely death had devasted Ankita and since then, she had been campaigning with Sushant’s family to bring justice to him.
A few days back, there were reports about Ankita Lokhande being one of the participants in the reality show, Bigg Boss 15 along with Rhea Chakraborty. And since then, people have been targeting Ankita for gaining fame from Sushant’s death. And now, the actress herself cleared the air surrounding the rumours about her participation.
On June 27, 2021, Ankita took to her IG handle and called the reports mere baseless rumours. The actress also revealed that she has been receiving hatred for something she is not even a part of. Ankita’s statement can be read as “It has come to my notice that certain sections of the media have been speculating that I will be participating in Bigg Boss this year. I would like them and everyone at large to know and make a note that I am not going to be a part of the show. The rumours of my participation are baseless. People have been too quick to send me their hatred for something that I'm not even a part of.”

Ever since Sushant’s death, Ankita had been posting his throwback memories on her social media handle. On Sushant’s first death anniversary, i.e., June 14, 2021, Ankita had shared an emotional video, which had comprised of some beautiful moments of the two. Along with the heart-wrenching video, Ankita wrote, “14 June This was our journey!!!! Phir milenge chalte chalte.”
In a conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Ankita Lokhande had shared how she had dealt with Sushant’s death. Revealing why she had never posted Sushant’s picture on her social media, Ankita stated that she didn't have the guts to write RIP for him.
Talking about the same, Ankita had said, “You won’t believe till today I have not ever posted any pictures of Sushant with RIP. I have no guts to write something like that for him. Because I can’t say rest in peace Sushant. People questioned me why I didn’t put his picture on the very same day of his death. I don’t know these Twitter or Instagram people. Inn log ki ek alag hi duniya hai. What I faced…I don’t want people to go through that ever.”

Ankita was last seen in the movie, Baaghi 3, along with Tiger Shroff, Shraddha Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh.
