Ankita Lokhande is one of the popular faces in the Indian entertainment industry. She rose to meteoric fame with her stint in the daily soap, Pavitra Rishta. On August 15, 2024, Ankita took to her Instagram stories to share a short clip featuring her in-laws. At the beginning of the video, the actress focused her camera on her mother-in-law, Ranjana Jain, who was seen savouring besan ke laddoo. Ankita was heard saying that her mother-in-law was having the sweet dish, which she made on her own, despite having diabetes.

Further, in the clip, Ankita was seen rebuking 'mumma' Ranjana Jain for emptying the whole jar of laddoos and asking her not to have them anymore. Meanwhile, the latter told her bahu that nothing would happen if she ate a few laddoos. Moreover, the actress also pointed out that her father-in-law, Vinod Jain, is a rather simple person who does not have many tantrums related to his eating habits.
Soon, this video was shared on the discussion platform, Reddit, and the netizens expressed their opinions on Ankita's video featuring both her mother-in-law and father-in-law. One user wrote, "She is trying hard to show ‘she is caring’, but honestly, ‘it feels disrespectful’. There are many softer ways to make the same point for elders." Another one noted, "At this point, she is just trying to stay in the limelight."

On August 12, 2024, Ankita took to her Instagram account to share a rather grim post marking her father's first death anniversary. She shared a series of beautiful memories with her 'papa' and penned a note mentioning that she misses him dearly. Ankita's note can be read as:
"Today marks a tough anniversary - the day my beloved Papa left us. It’s been a year, but the memories and love we shared remain strong. I miss him dearly, but I’m grateful for the time we had together. Rest in peace, dear Papa. Your legacy lives on in my heart. And Don’t worry, I’ve got Mamma and Arpan covered. I’ll be there to take care of them, support them, and shower them with love. They’re in good hands with me I promise paa ..I LOVE YOU MORE AND MORE AND MORE."

The Pavitra Rishta actress, who always updates her millions of fans about her professional and personal life, shared some pictures from her husband and mother's dual birthday party on August 6, 2024. While Vicky turned another year older on August 1, 2024, Ankita's mother, Vandana Lokhande, celebrated her birthday on August 2, 2024. To celebrate the same, the actress hosted a dual party.
Several celebrities from Tinseltown, such as Aly Goni, Karan Kundrra, Arjun Bijlani, and others, were a part of the birthday bash. However, Ankita's in-laws missed the party. In the carousel, we spotted that Ankita and her mom were twinning in all-black ensembles, whereas Vicky opted for a more funky look. Sharing the series of pictures, Ankita wrote:
