Ankita Lokhande States That Randeep Hooda Felt That She Is Too Pretty, Netizen Says 'Please Chup Ho'

Ankita Lokhande is one of the most known faces of the Indian television industry; having started her journey via ITV's hit drama, Pavitra Rishta, Ankita Lokhande became a household name. The diva later started exploring other entertainment mediums and tried her luck in movies. To her credit, the diva bagged several big banner movies like Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi, Baaghi 3, Swatantra Veer Savarkar and more. Ankita's stardom grew by manifolds when she and her husband, Vicky Jain, participated in Bigg Boss 17.

Ankita garnered much love and appreciation for her Bigg Boss 17 stint and even got placed fourth in the race to the trophy. Soon after her exit from the show, Ankita got busy with the promotion of her upcoming film, Swatantra Veer Savarkar, in which she stars opposite Randeep Hooda. Recently, in a press conference for the movie, Ankita revealed Randeep Hooda's reaction to casting her for the role of 'Yamunabai Savarkar'.

Ankita Lokhande revealed that Randeep Hooda told her that she was too pretty for the role

On March 11, 2024, the cast of Swatantra Veer Savarkar hosted a press conference to promote their upcoming movie. In their Ankita Lokhande revealed that Randeep Hooda did not want to cast her in the film as he felt she was too pretty to play the role of 'Yamunabai Savarkar' (Swatantra Veer Savarkar's wife). For the unversed, Randeep Hooda is also the director of the film. Ankita further added:

"He told me, 'I don't think I want you in the film. You are too pretty for the character'"

Ankita added that Randeep Hooda had done thorough research on Swatantra Veer Savarkar's life and knew exactly what he wanted when casting for roles. The film is all set to release on the big screen on March 22, 2024, in Hindi and Marathi.
