The iconic comedian, popularly known as ‘Calendar’ from Mr India, Satish Kaushik was one of the most versatile and talented actors in Hindi cinema. On March 9, 2023, the nation woke to the news of the tragic demise of Satish due to cardiac arrest. The 66-year-old was in Delhi when he felt uneasy and breathed his last.
Satish’s untimely demise shocked the film industry, his fans, friends, and family. And the one person, who was inconsolable was his best friend, Anupam Kher. Time and again, we have seen Anupam recalling him by sharing glimpses from their good old days. Today, on Satish’s 67th birth anniversary, Anupam penned an emotional note for his late friend.

Taking to his IG handle, Anupam shared a video, showing glimpses of him having some adorable moments with Satish. The video also features a few other Bollywood celebs with Satish. From eating together and prepping for the film, Kashmir Files, their throwback memories, Anupam shared some priceless memories with his good friend.
Further in the video, we also got glimpses of Satish’s playful moments and the times he spent with his wife, Shashi and their daughter, Vanshika. Along with the memories, Anupam penned how it would have been Satish’s 67th birthday. Anupam also revealed that he got the opportunity to celebrate Satish’s birthday for 48 years. However, he will celebrate his best friend’s 67th birthday in a grand manner. His Heart-wrenching note can be read as:
“Mere pyaare dost Satish Kaushik! Janamdin ki Hardik shubhkamanaye. Aaj Baisakhi waale din tum 67 varsh ke ho jaate. Magar tumhara Jeevan ke 48 varshon tak mujhe tumhara birthday manaane ka saubhagya prapt hua. Isliye maine faisla kiya hai ki aaj shaam ko hum tumhara janamdin shaandar tareeke se manane ki koshish karenge. Shashi aur Vanshika ke saath vaali seat Khaali hogi. Come my friend and watch us celebrate #SatishKaushikNight with #Music #Love and #Laughter!"

Born on April 13, 1965, Satish Kaushik was an Indian actor, screenwriter, director and producer. His perfect comic timing and talent paved the way for many actors to try their hands at the genre of comedy. Some of the most iconic films in which he has worked are Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, Woh 7 Din, Masoom, Mandi, Mr India, Ram Lakhan, Swarg, Saajan Chale Sasural, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Aunty No. 1, Soorma, Chhalaang, Kaagaz, Sharmaji Namkeen, and many more.
Satish Kaushik’s absence has left a huge void in the film industry, but his best friend, Anupam Kher has made him immortal in the hearts of his loved ones.
