Anurag Kashyap's daughter, Aaliyah Kashyap, and Imtiaz Ali's daughter, Ida Ali, are childhood friends. For the uninitiated, Aaliyah and Ida used to live in the same building until the age of seven, attended the same school, and also went to the same college in the US. Thus, the two girls share a unique bond and have a lot of unknown things to share from their childhood.
Now, in a recent conversation, Aaliyah Kashyap and Ida Ali opened up about one such traumatising incident from their childhood. Anurag Kashyap's daughter, who is quite popular amongst the young generation, recently launched a podcast series, Young, Dumb & Anxious. In one of the latest episodes, she invited her friend, Ida, to recall some of their old memories. They recounted that it was when the duo's parents went out together, the girls were left with Aaliyah's maternal grandmother and their house help, and the incident happened then. Aaliya recalled:
“My nani was watching us, and so was our didi, who was working in our house at the time.”

Initially, Ida asked her friend to narrate the 'real kidnap story'. At that time, Aaliyah clarified that it was not technically a kidnapping because they were at home but narrated how her house help kept her and Ida in hostage by taping their mouths and tying their hands to chairs. The girls kept on howling and freaking out, while the house help was attempting to rob their house. As a result, the incident became quite traumatising for the two of them.
Thankfully, Aaliyah's mother returned to their home within 15-20 minutes as she had forgotten something. Soon after discovering the incident going on in her home, Aaliyah's mother called the rest of the people. In this way, they were saved. However, Ida mentioned that the traumatic experience led to laughter as Aaliyah was with her. Thus, recalling the same event, the two of them broke into laughter. Moreover, Aaliyah and Ida mentioned how in this way no one can break their bond ever. This proves that the girls already consider themselves sisters more than best friends. Aaliyah mentioned:
“It was obviously traumatic, but it would have been a lot more traumatic if we had gone through that alone."

Earlier, when Aaliyah Kashyap called her friend, Ida Ali, for one of the episodes on her YouTube channel and reminisced about the time when the latter's father, Imtiaz Ali, had to halt the shoot of Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone starrer, Tamasha. The shooting was going on in Corsica, and the two girls were lost as they decided to go for dinner, but went farther than what was said by them. The BFFs then mentioned how they went to a restaurant and remembered that they did not have any phones with them at the time. Ida further added how mad Imtiaz was at both of them and Aaliyah too, added that the filmmaker's anger made her realise that the two of them had actually messed up the situation. Ida shared:
"When the bill came, it was more than what we had expected. It was like one euro or something more than what we had. So I ran all the way back. Only then did I realise that they had stopped production and were looking for us. And here I was walking in, saying 'I want a dollar'. I do not think I have ever seen Dada that mad. I do not remember what he said, but he was so mad, because he was worried for us."
