Sharing a collage with ‘the biggest motivator in her life’, her mother, Ashima Sharma, Anushka Sharma had written a heartfelt message for her on Mother’s Day 2017, “The reason I am where I am .. the biggest motivator in my life .. she never let us feel we didn't have the opportunity or the means to do anything we wanted .. she sewed me a dress for a school play, individually stitching each sequence on to it because we couldn't afford the fee being asked for it from school .. she went from shop to shop with me to buy the best but still affordable pair of heels during my modelling days .. looked at the right side (price ) of the menu before the left one .. made all kinds of amazing cuisines we couldn't often eat out just so we could .. maa will never be able to thank you for what you've done for us .. for ever indebted by your love .. Happy Mothers Day Maa”. (Also Read: 10 Star Kids (Sons) Who Have Grown Up To Look Like Their Fathers, Sharing The Uncanny Resemblance)
And on Father’s Day 2017, Anushka Sharma wrote an inspiring message for her ‘biggest inspiration’, her father, Ajay Kumar Sharma, “I couldn't possibly be more like anyone as I am like my father. I wish every girl growing up gets to look up to a man like I got to with my dad. He taught me to stand up for myself and what I believed in and never allow anyone to treat me wrongly. My biggest inspiration comes from him and how wonderful this world would be if there were more men like you papa! I love you to the moon and back #FathersDay”.
Anushka Sharma’s commendable acting talent and her attitude towards life is what makes her such a badass example for women. She had once said and meant it, "I’m not gonna give anybody the power to control my life." Speaking about her preferences in making friends, Anushka had said, "Well, I don’t know if this makes sense, but I have always been one of the boys. I always get along better with the guys. They have a lot more in their conversations and I like that. I am not judging anyone, just stating what I am comfortable with."
Anushka Sharma had also admitted that she has been an attention seeker since childhood. She was once quoted as saying, “I am not spoilt as I was brought up in an army background. But every actor is an attention-seeker. It is an occupational hazard for us. If I don’t seek attention, I will not be doing my work well.”
In a throwback interview when Anushka Sharma was asked how her parents had reacted to her acting and working so soon in life, she had retorted, “My parents are super cool. I'm a lot more orthodox than they are. Thanks to the Army background, I have a very strong sense of independence and freedom, so we took our own decisions and only have ourselves to blame. I always knew I wanted to be in films but didn’t want anyone to taunt my parents. So I excelled in studies. I was a topper in school and college so when I decided to become a model, people said ‘Oh your daughter is modeling' so at least my parents could say, ‘yeah but she also came first in class.’” (Also Read: When Sisters Karisma Kapoor And Kareena Kapoor Glammed It At The Former's Mehendi (Throwback Video))
