Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli had tied the knot on December 11, 2017 in a dreamy wedding. It was in August 2020 when Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli had announced their first pregnancy with an adorable picture wherein, the actress had flaunted her baby bump. The soon-to-be parents had captioned the picture as “And then, we were three! Arriving Jan 2021.” After the announcement, the stunning actress had accompanied her husband, Virat to Dubai for Indian Premier League 2020 and had also cheered for him from the VIP stands. Anushka is back in Mumbai and is super busy in completing her upcoming projects.
In the second T20 International match held at Sydney Cricket Ground on December 6, 2020, India has beaten Australia by six wickets. Soon-to-be-mom, Anushka Sharma couldn’t hide her happiness and congratulated her ‘love’, Virat and team India for the splendid victory. She took to her IG stories and shared the screengrab of the winning moment and wrote, “Series win & brilliant team effort!! Men in blue. Congratulations my love.”
Virat Kohli had applied to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for paternity leave and was granted the permission to return to India after the series opener of the India-Australia Test tour. Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had released a statement that could be read as “At the selection committee meeting held on October 26th, 2020, Mr Virat Kohli had informed the BCCI about his plans to return to India after the first Test in Adelaide. The BCCI has granted paternity leave to the Indian captain. He will return after the first Test against Australia in Adelaide.” Breaking his silence on the same, Virat had said in a press conference, “The decision was made before the selection meeting that I will be flying back before the first Test. It was purely based on the fact that there was a quarantine period in both ways. I wanted to be back in time to be with my wife for the birth of our first child. It is very, very special and a beautiful moment in our lives and that was the reason for my decision that was communicated to the selectors." From carrying herself in the most stylish manner to flaunting her baby bump, Anushka has never skipped a chance to surprise us. In an interview with the Bombay Times, the PK actress had opened up about her plans to resume to work after her delivery in January 2021. In her words, Anushka had shared, “I will be back to my shoots after I deliver my child, and will establish a system at home that ensures I can balance time between my child, home and professional life. I intend to keep working for as long as I live because acting truly makes me happy.”

On September 13, 2020, Anushka had taken to her Instagram handle and had shared a mesmerisingly beautiful picture of herself while standing on the shore. In the picture, she could be seen caressing her baby bump with a beautiful smile on her face. Along with the picture, Anushka had written, "Nothing is more real & humbling than experiencing the creation of life in you. When this is not in your control, then really what is?" The doting husband, Virat Kohli had dropped a beautiful comment on his wifey's picture and it could be read as "My whole world in one picture."
